We are an ethical, non profit ayahuasca retreat center, based in the Sacred Valley, Peru. Our passion is helping humanity heal and giving back to Mother Earth from which we come. We only work with healers who come from a long tradition of shamanism. Our core group of healers are of the Shipibo lineage, the oldest known lineage of the medicine. The Shipibo have been working with Mother Ayahuasca for centuries forming an unbelievable bond with the plants and spirits of the Amazon Rain Forest . Having honed the skills of their ancestors, their healing is truly profound. The Shipibos are masterful healers indeed, but they are not the only ones. We will also be hosting special retreats with healers from all over the globe bringing their ancestral medicine giving you the opportunity to experience the healing of the world.

September 28, 2022 at 4:58 amA beautiful experience, tough, and so necessary. I went through a deep process here that created the foundation for all the abundance and beauty that has since come into my life. I’m so grateful for a loving community that could hold space for me as I went into such deep work. The generosity, beauty, laughter, and tribe are a special magic that I’m so grateful for

June 22, 2022 at 4:37 pmI had an Amazing Ayahuasca experience at Anahata. The Shaman was awesome and Micheal was a great host, they also had a nice band. I can tell the quality of the Ayahuasca was perfect. This is a trip I plan to experience at least twice a year with the same organization. Thank you !

June 9, 2022 at 1:18 pmI just finished 10 beautiful days in the sacred valley of Peru at Anahata Ayauasca. It’s hard to truly sum up my experience in a few sentances it was the most challenging, yet beautiful and sacred experience I had ever encountered. The thing that called me to this place was the location, the group size (no more than 6) and the medicine that they offered. I listened to my Intuition and knew I needed to work with more than just the Aya, and I’m grateful I did.
I worked with Ayauasca, Kambo, San Pedro and Bufo, as well as a sweat lodge.
To some, that may seem like alot but it was perfect for what I needed. The experience that each medicine offered was essential in my growth and healing. They each complimented each other so well, as they focused on different areas of healing.
Each modality of healing was potent, and offered extremely profound experiences.
They were done in a wonderful setting full of love and support, which made it easy to ease into the experience.
The setting couldn’t be any more perfect. The center is in an old incan museum surrounded by beautiful mountains. It is beautiful beyond words. You wake up each morning with tea in hand, walk out to the patio, and look onward to the pisac ruins, as you lay in your Hammock and contemplate everything you’ve learned in your stay. A 5 minute hike takes you to a beautiful river surrounded by eucalyptus trees and flowers. It is truly breath-taking.
The Ayauasca ceremonies were done with beautiful music which was so essential in processing everything that was coming up. Honestly, it was what made the difference for me when I was getting into my head, and kept me grounded and focused.. Each person that contributed their talents brought such a sense of beauty and heart to the experience. Thanks to Brian, Doodi, Gal, Michael, and Shahaf for sharing your talents with us.
After each ceremony we were able to talk about the things that came up. Often times we were still processing, but it was important to the experience with the group.
Michael and Sam were beautiful hosts. They made sure to make the experience special for us and helped us process everything that came up with love, light and laughter. Pacco, was an amazing steward who made beautiful meals full of love. His light is definitely appreciated at the center. Maestro Roberto has a beautiful light to him and helped us heal in ways I fight think possible.
I’m so grateful for my experience with Anahata and look forward to the day I can go back. Gracias! ♥

May 28, 2022 at 3:05 pmI keep trying to write about my experience at Anahata and it keeps turning into miniature novels! I’m going to try to keep it simple while trying to cover the utter significance! This retreat was my first visit to Peru and my first ever ayahuasca experience. I couldn’t possibly be more grateful or satisfied with this absolutely life changing center—blew my expectations away. Mike + Sam are just beyond incredible. Every single piece was perfect…the shipibos, the chef, the pets, the scenery, the food…every facet was assembled with so much genuine love and pure intentions.
I can’t put into words the amount of comfort and safety I felt with each person involved in this experience. Mike was impressively thorough at explaining everything along the way and is also one of the most authentic people I have ever met. He and Sam are so obviously deeply + passionately dedicated to their healing work and you can feel it. They are also super experienced and it shows.
It is clear this center is great for anyone — first timers as well as those who are experienced with these types of retreats — and I couldn’t recommend it more. As I mentioned, in my particular group I was the only one who had never experienced Ayahuasca—the rest were from various areas of the world and quite experienced—and they all told me how lucky I was based on their perspective of this retreat as well. No words can do justice for the power of the shipibos involved.
If you are feeling the call all you have to do is show up at this place, and trust the rest will unfold perfectly. You are in good hands and with quality people at Anahata. I will truly miss them and cherish this experience forever. ❤️
Love you all Thank you from the depth of my heart and soul!!!

May 28, 2022 at 6:23 amWe’re writing this review based on our concerns before making our first Ayahuasca retreat journey, which we believe is a good starting point for people in the same situation.
Before starting, we would just like to make clear that none of our concerns became true, and the experience we had was truly amazing. Michael and his family, which we’re now proud to be a part of, is just … so amazing!
Travelling as a couple – even though we were travelling jointly, it was important to each of us to do our own personal journey within. We’ve had some plant medicine experience before going on this journey, but not with Ayahuasca specifically, and hence we did not know how either of us would react to the medicine. So travelling together felt safe to us. This was really positive, as we could reflect together. However, during the ceremonies we were strict with not interacting.
We asked for separate rooms but ended up sleeping together every night except for one (no sex though). Still, it was good to have your separate rooms for times when you wanted your own space to contemplate.
We reviewed a lot of centres before going with Anahata, and of course we were not sure at the time, but everything turned out to be better than expected.
Location – about an hour drive from Cusco. We were picked up at the airport by the center which was very convenient. And compared to many of the retreats located in Iquitos where you need a +2 hour boat ride, we were so happy about making the choice for a center in the Secret Valley area.
Center – We did not want it too “commercial” and were looking for a more “simple” setup, still we did not feel like staying in the jungle in the simple huts that you see in some of the retreats. The scenery in the Secret Valley is just amazing!
Agenda – We were only able to do the 7 day retreat due to our travel arrangement, and this was a good length for a first time and the agenda was quite intense with several medicines and lots of impressions to digest. We had 3 Aya ceremonies, 1 Huachuma and then it was optional to do Kambo and Bufo. We did all and would advise anyone who’s not sure to go for it, you do not need to decide until you come there. This was one of the reasons why we chose Anahata – to have the possibilities to try the different medicines.
And don’t be worried that you will not have enough ayahuasca during the ceremony. If the first cup is not enough, you will have three more times to refill. So, how do I know if I need more? “If you think you need more, then you’ll probably need more” as Michael directed us in the beginning.
Note, that it is up to you to let them know if you need more.
There are tons of others to mention that were just super positive but that we were not concerned about before, and hence do not go into detail here.
– Food – our private chef, Pacco, served us with so much good food during the visit and interesting discussions.
– The Family – except for Michael and Sam, all the friends coming in to facilitate and take part in the ceremonies made this experience even better.
During the ceremonies we felt safe, loved and supported. This journey has changed our lives completely. In ways we couldn’t even imagine and we feel that we’re truly a part of a family now. We’re excited to go back!
