We are an ethical, non profit ayahuasca retreat center, based in the Sacred Valley, Peru. Our passion is helping humanity heal and giving back to Mother Earth from which we come. We only work with healers who come from a long tradition of shamanism. Our core group of healers are of the Shipibo lineage, the oldest known lineage of the medicine. The Shipibo have been working with Mother Ayahuasca for centuries forming an unbelievable bond with the plants and spirits of the Amazon Rain Forest . Having honed the skills of their ancestors, their healing is truly profound. The Shipibos are masterful healers indeed, but they are not the only ones. We will also be hosting special retreats with healers from all over the globe bringing their ancestral medicine giving you the opportunity to experience the healing of the world.

I have just returned from my yearly medicine pilgrimage to Peru to work on myself and my path – with a very happy and light heart 🙂 Felt very inspired to share about this center because of all they did, and continue to, do for me!

I spent a several weeks here with this group and the medicine. This healing center is hands down the best I have worked with in my journey. A lot more than price and offerings come into play when making these decisions for me based on my experience (comfort, privacy, group size, organization, shaman/shamana experience & lineage, and MOST importantly intention). This team and center exceeded my expectations in every way!

The Center: It’s a beautiful space with wide open views, cozy private sleeping options, river (and cold plunge) access, fire areas, yoga/dance areas, full kitchen access, library of good books. Spaces to be with others and plenty of private nooks for yourself as well. Easy access to Pisac and Cusco. The ceremony room is beautifully decorated and comfortable – I even slept there instead of my bed a couple of nights.

The Support team: Mike, Dudi, Sam, and many others that support ceremony and my general comfort are all top notch in both experience and care. Not only did they support me in ceremony but were vigilant to check in on me outside of their space and container as well. They truly wanted to be sure I felt cared for every moment and that meant a lot for my trust and surrender. Maestro Roberto, traditional Shipibo shaman, had incredibly powerful Icaros and led ceremony with confidence and love. I felt fully relaxed in his guidance in ceremony and in awe of the clarity and power his songs held. An added plus was seeing him and his wife so often outside of ceremony – ALWAYS laughing and smiling – the sign of a good shaman in my opinion 🙂

**Also super sweet pups around the property who are healers in their own right – shout out to Smurf dog!

The Ceremony: Very well organized experience including time to consider your intentions and 1on1 time with the Maestro before to discuss – then a lovely blend of what to expect, breathwork, and settling in before the medicine. The shaman worked collectively and individually throughout ceremony. Beautiful music was carefully mixed with noble silence (a part I feel a lot of ceremonies miss on). Very intentional and energetically calculated ending of ceremony and always fresh fruit and tea before group share and prayer. Very complete process!

On a Personal Note: As I said before, intention of a place is everything. These people have truly dedicated their lives to the healing of us and the planet. Open hearted and judgement free – really feeling held and loved.
They supported me with EVERYTHING from logistics, to how to continue learning and growing, and they even supported me with networking and helping me build my dreams as I returned home! They are not in this for profit or any other motive than to heal and love. You feel that the second you get there and I’m forever grateful. I consider them brothers and sisters – FAMILY – for life. A home I can always return to.

You can’t always judge these things from a snapshot of a place so my hope is that this review can help you understand the subtle, but most important pieces of a healing experience and make a good decision for yourself. There are many beautiful centers but this is the only one I suggest to my loved ones that are interested in working with medicine. Peace and love on your journeys and healing! I’m proud of you for doing your research 🙂

I have sat in ceremony at other ayahuasca centers, but my experience at Anahata Ayahuasca was by far the most powerful. Brother Michael has created an incredibly safe and loving space that simultaneously allows each person to have their own personal experience while also feeling part of a community. It is a traditional shapibo ceremony, which is both important and powerful, but Mike also does some little things to make it even more special. An extended breathing exercise before the ceremony begins…Some beautiful music after the shaman’s icaros to help close out the ceremony… The love and care with which Mike and his team treat everyone is unparalleled. Maestro Roberto is an absolute master at guiding energy and helping to shepherd you through your journey. I can’t recommend Anahata Ayahuasca strongly enough and I am eternally grateful for my experience there and the opportunity to get to know the Anahata family.

I am very grateful to anahata ayahuasca. I sat in for 3 Ayahuaska ceremonies with maestro Roberto of the Shapibo tribe, Mike, Dudi, (the facilitators) and Sam and Gal (support staff) and was very grateful to have done so. The experience was definitely life changing. Although I don’t want to comment on the Ayahuaska itself, because every person will have a different experience with grandmother medicine, I can comment on the facility, the operations, and the customer service. The facility is beautiful, a former museum, on top of a hill, with plenty of rest rooms, and the most comfortable space for the actual journey I have experienced thus far in regards to mattresses and blankets and being warm enough- Because I become an icicle on all medicines. Working with Mike and dudi was seamless, and their focus is your experience- which is very much appreciated. Add that to the beautiful music that is played and the impact of the darkness and Shapibo Icharo and there was definitely evolution in my quality and level of thinking.

Thank you my brothers and sisters for this experience and this establishment. I have since recommended this facility to all my friends who have come to PERÚ.

I have visited several different Ayahuasca and Traditional plant medicine retreats throughout Peru over years to help with my personal issues. And you want to make sure it is well managed correctly with the right intentions and it is a safe environment. As a Friend, a guide and leader Mike is exceptional. He is very accepted within the local community and he is not driven by profit but is focused on the helping people heal, their experiences and outcomes for visitors. His experience, knowledge and approach stands out. He brings with him Shamans of the highest order who he has worked with for many years. I’m looking forward to my next visit and having Mike as a leader and guide.

    Love you mate, Scotty
