At Sapan Inka, we believe participating in an Ayahuasca retreat is a powerful opportunity for profound energetic and spiritual cleansing and healing. An Ayahuasca experience can be immensely favorable for those embarking on a journey of transformation and spiritual development. Our unique model is a conscious synthesis of the millenary wisdom of Amazonian medicine and the principles of depth and transpersonal psychology. We are not a center for spiritual tourism or mere Ayahuasca experiences; we are a dedicated space for exploring the deep psyche, practicing ancestral Amazonian medicine, and supporting transformative processes.

We distinguish ourselves through our philosophy of minimal interference and the unwavering shamanic and spiritual support provided in our ceremonies. Our commitment to ethics and professionalism is paramount. We believe an Ayahuasca ceremony is an opening to the reality of the soul and a world of sacred images. For this reason, we practice minimal interference during your experience of expanded states of consciousness, allowing the healing intelligence of Ayahuasca and your own inner being to guide the process. This is not abandonment or a lack of warmth; it is a conscious act of respect and trust in your innate capacity to heal and in the divine power of the medicine itself.

The transformative power of Ayahuasca is fully realized through a structured integration process. At Sapan Inka, our psychotherapeutic integration is more than a simple conversation; it is a rigorous process designed to help you assimilate, process, and effectively integrate your experiences. We provide a space for you to understand the intricate symbolic language of your visions, converting profound insights into tangible and lasting change. This is how the spiritual revelations from the ceremonies are bridged with your daily life, ensuring the journey leads to genuine personal growth.

To navigate this journey, rigorous preparation is essential. An Ayahuasca experience can be incredibly challenging, and its potency demands thorough mental, emotional, and spiritual readiness. It is crucial for participants to understand that this is not a shortcut, but a deep and profound inner work that requires commitment and maturity.

Given the serious nature of our work, we are aware that our approach may not satisfy everyone’s expectations. Those who seek a more superficial, less confrontational experience or group activities may find other centers more suitable. Our model is designed for individuals committed to holistic healing and willing to embark on a serious psychospiritual path. This is why our groups are intentionally small, to ensure the personalized and ethical attention that is the cornerstone of our years of experience and dedication.

At Sapan Inka, our commitment is to support you on your journey, respecting the authenticity of your process and providing a safe and professional environment for a genuine transformation.

I did the 6 day retreat which consisted of two Ayahuasca and one San Pedro ceremony in addition, a trip to Machu Picchu, which I thoroughly enjoyed and its an experience I will cherish. Communication between myself and Erik and Nilda was timely and smooth. They set up my transportation from my place to the retreat and back when my time was done, so there really wasn’t anything to worry about. The retreat is located in Urubamba which is about a 1 hour and 30 minute drive from Cusco, the scenery and the local people you see are beautiful so be sure to take pictures.
The retreat itself is set in the middle of nature, surrounded by mountains, with a garden courtyard and beautifully built buildings. The two Ayahuasca ceremonies were visually stunning and intense, and I learned and am still learning from those experiences. I got to share my experience with four other awesome people from around the world over delicious meals that Erik and Nilda provided us. Erik was very helpful during our conversations in helping me interpret my trips I had. The San Pedro ceremony helped me integrate my Ayahuasca experiences and connected me with my surroundings on our hike up the mountain towards the ancient ruins. Overall I had a tremendously great time that I’ll never forget. For myself it was worth the investment.

I visited the Erik and Nilda in May of 2022 and I must say it was an awesome experience. Erik’s knowledge about western psychology, paired with the ancient Inka wisdom from years of living with Shaman’s in the Amazonian region is key for a Ayahuasca experience. Nilda is a warm and loving soul and has a deep knowledge of herbs and plants. I enjoyed the life transforming sessions with them and the deep conversations I had. It is a very private place and due to the small groups they accept they can focus on each individual which I think it is key for such an experience. I strongly recommend Erik and Nilda to everyone. Love & Light to you my friends and everyone who reads this review.

I had a truly wonderful experience at Sapan Inka with Erik and Nilda; my first ever Aya journey. They were highly communicative in advance, during and after the retreat which was reassuring and appreciated. My trips were not what I expected at all and at first I wondered if I’d ‘missed out’ but with the benefit of hindsight I think Mother Aya was showing me exactly what I needed to see; that my limiting thoughts are what hold me back and what I need to address – and also that sometimes cleansing and unblocking your traumas or depressed feelings (especially when they run deep) is what is needed; more so than strong visuals or confrontations. I expect my next experience with ayahuasca will be very different. I had a beautiful and emotional journey with San Pedro as part of my retreat too and witnessing Machu Pachu was incredibly special. I learnt a lot during my stay at Sapan Inka and am still continuing to learn many weeks later. I naively thought the retreat might be the end of my healing journey, really it was just the beginning though and I’m grateful to have begun it with Erik and Nilda <3.

I am forever grateful to Erik and Nilda for holding such a loving, safe, comfortable and sacred space for my first Ayhuasca retreat. Their devotion, commitment, and respect for the medicine and their guests was all extraordinary.

The small group size was perfect. We were 6 strangers who bonded quickly during our shared meals together. Through our conversations it was evident that we all received the individual care we needed during our stay, and that we were all really happy to have chosen Sapan Inka. It was also unanimous that the blinking light device was enjoyed by all. There are so many other positive experiences that concur with what others have already stated.

It was an excellent choice to go to Sapan Inka. I highly recommend Erik and Nilda to guide you on your Ayahuasca journey.

My life has been forever changed because of my experience with Erik and Nilda at Sapan Inka. I visited Sapan Inka as a last resort. Prior to my visit, I had been largely “unsuccessful” in navigating my mental health. I read and researched about the impact of psychedelics and decided to try Ayahuasca. Erik and Nilda were the absolute best guides for this journey. Their love, kindness, investment, and reverence for the sacred plant made this the most profound and meaningful experience of my life. Some say experiencing Mother Aya is like having 30 years of therapy in a few days. While that statement trends toward accuracy, it undersells the impact. At Sapan Inka I walked into a new plane of existence, a new plane of consciousness. Erik and Nilda cultivated this space and experience for us at the retreat. I am forever grateful to them.

More tangibly, their home is lovely. Their garden is a sanctuary. I would embrace the rosemary bushes in their garden and be completely enchanted by the fragrance. I’m far from a vegetarian, but found Nilda’s food to be delicious and delightful enough for me to consider, for a very brief moment, life as a vegetarian.

If you’re reading this you likely have done a lot of reading about Mother Aya, San Pedro, and the other activities offered through Sapan Inka. What I offer to you, fellow travelers, is a humble and full throated endorsement of Sapan Inka. Erik and Nilda are love and Being manifested. They emailed me less than an hour ago asking for me to write a review. I started writing this immediately after telling them I would. For what they have added to my life, they have a friend in me forever. I can’t wait to see them again.
