A word that represents my experience at Hayulima is “embrace”. I felt this way from the moment of arrival when my friends and I were welcomed like family. This embrace can be felt in the food, the ceremonies and the land. There is no way to quite fully put it into words so I hope that if you have made it this far in your curiosity you take the next step to make this experience a reality!

There are many beautiful locations on this site and what makes this one stand so unique is the family that is waiting to meet you with that warm embrace just the same. Enjoy and good luck

Hayulima is truly a magical, high vibration place full of possibilities. It is an authentic and safe space to experience healing, growth, and transformation with sacred plant medicines carried by experienced shamans with deep integrity. From the sacred fire, to the beautiful songs, to the intimate ceremonies — everything is done with such intention and care.

The mountains there in the cloud forest are so ALIVE, you feel embraced by Mother Earth from the moment you arrive. Having the experience of getting to know and personally connect with the people serving the medicine is a blessing. You are visiting their home and living among them during your stay, and it is truly a sanctuary where you can feel completely supported to do the work you need to do with yourself.

The food (mostly vegetarian, but they do serve meat sometimes) is wonderful and nourishing, and the medicine is powerful. I have healed so much in myself by working with this family in this tradition. Getting to know them over the last few years changed my life and inspired me to be in service. And it’s not just because they are masters at sharing beautiful medicine, but because they ARE the medicine. Their gentleness and compassion has shown me so much about how I want to live my own life and walk my own medicine path. There are a lot of people serving medicine, but not as many walking the spiritual path in their own lives. I love this place and this family, and I am so excited for what they are building together at Hayulima.

I really cannot recommend Hayulima enough. Sitting in ceremony I found my way back to myself. I continue to go back here because each time I do, I deepen and make more harmonious my relationship with myself, The Creator, and the rest of creation. The land here is absolutely beautiful, the birds, wildlife, and flowers here are really great medicine in and of themselves. There is pristine water flowing right down the mountain clean enough to drink. The family here is so loving, sincere, and compassionate in the way they hold space during ceremony. I feel grateful to have medicine with people who carry the ceremony, and themselves, with such peace, joy, and lightness. I really treasure spending time with everyone here. Meeting the family of Hayulima has drastically altered the direction of my life and my vibration in the best of ways. I’m already excited to go back 🙂

The center is beautiful and the family is absolutely wonderful. This is a much more personal experience than you will find at most centers. The shamanic family personally look out for you, talk to you about your intentions, and guide you every step of the way. The medicine is profoundly powerful and the land is magical. I love this place and these people.
