Tierravida Benxote

We are a Shipibo Shamanistic Center on Yarina Cocha Lake in Pucallpa Peru, in the Shipibo Heartland, on a 19 hectare permaculture Rainforest farm with lots of room for exploring. We also offer ecological and cultural trips into the Rainforest, as well as teach Earthskills. Our remote location is near to the largest Rainforest reserves in the world. We have a NGO Ni Bero, Seed of the Rainforest and Eye of the Rainforest. Dedicated to conservation and reforestation of ecosystems, and permaculture, as well as opening peoples eyes to the consciousness of the forest. We are partly owned by Shipibos, and work with Shipibo female and male shamans in their homelands of the Ucayali river. Tierravida means living earth, that the earth is alive and gives us life. Benxote is the Shipibo healing arts using Ayahuascha and other medicinal plants.

I’ve come to Tierra Vida Benxote twice now, within a years time. It’s a genuine experience, built and lived in by family with lineage to the Shipibo people. I have found a teacher through this ancient gift stewarded and lived by Adam Stone and his family. I have developed and am still growing relations I will continue for many years to come.

This year has been the first year I have been to Tierra Vida and I have been so pleased. Tierra Vida Benxote is a family community as well as a rich Ayahuasca Center and NGO in reforestation support, not to mention it’s affordability and authenticity! I came at the beginning of the year for Two Months participating in the Apprenticeship Program to deepen my self knowledge as well as study Master Plants. Within that time I had developed a strong community with fellow Dieteros, plants, maestros, as well as the center itself. To be around wonderful caretakers and cooks who are always there to help with food, laundry, teaching art, and wonderful conversations, to the deep relation of the jungle and her sounds of life through the day and night. Depending on the time of the year going too is the types of fruit which will be abundant on the table. Queue months later and I’m back at Tierra Vida deepening my knowledge and community. A big thanks to Adam Stone, Hans, and other investors in shaping such a wonderful, deep trusting place like home! (Not to mention the help in translating languages as well as the experiences from Adam and other long-term dieteros who continue to return to this center).

I’m so glad I found this place!! Unlike other ayahuasca experiences I have had in Peru, Tierravida Benxote is run and operated by indigenous Shipibos. They truly provide an authentic experience for their guests. I stayed for a 10 day “dieta” and was able to partake in their permaculture projects and even prepared and cooked the ayahuasca I took! I felt completely comfortable with their shamans and was reassured by the clean water and overall safe environment throughout the dieta. I will definitely be back one day with my friends. Thank you Tierravida!!
