Please e-mail us for more information.

Our mission is to provide a safe, honest and sincere space for people of all walks of life to come and heal. We believe in the combined power of plant medicine, Umbanda,  and emotional vulnerability. These key elements are the fertile soil for beautiful transformation to occur in our lives!

Maharani Medicine  first opened its doors in 2018– since then, we have served at over 140 retreats. We are proud to be a culturally diverse hub for seekers of all kinds. We are honored to be of service to anyone with a desire to grow, learn and heal regardless of background, age or creed. Working closely with our teachers in Hawaii and Brazil we provide a space of tradition but also flexibility to suit the needs of every person and group that we serve. We humbly walk this path as students of life, seekers of change, and owners of our actions.

Here are some things that set us apart from other groups:

  • Our groups are ALWAYS intimate & small. We will never serve a group larger than ten people. This fosters a sense of community between participants & staff, creating a safe, familial atmosphere.
  • We keep a supportive staff-to-participant ratio so we can all feel fully supported in this intense journey. We strive to have 3-4 facilitators on board in addition to our Medicine Leaders. Our team members are humble volunteers with ample personal experience with plant medicine. Each facilitator brings their own unique abilities to retreats.
  • Our medicine is brewed with love, prayer, tradition and integrity, sourcing high quality materials from sustainable sources from Central America. All of our medicines are sent from our teachers in Brazil and Hawaii.
  • The most important part of any medicine experience is Integration. Integration means applying the lessons learned during ceremony to everyday life. Integration is what separates recreational use of medicines from ceremonial & intentional use! It is very important we honor ourselves and our medicines in this way. We offer multiple integration circles, one on one sessions during the weekend and also provide supportive resources for our participants when they go home.
  • Our Guides have been taught how to activate and amplify the Medicine through presence and music.  Many Plant Medicine traditions suggest that music is the vessel which carries the ceremonial energy. The music harmonizes with the medicine and serves as a “Lighthouse” that helps each participant navigate their internal shadows & light alike, and to call upon our allies both in nature and in spirit to assist us in our development. The music serves as a compass to bring us back our hearts. Whether it be traditional pontos, the call of the flute or powerful icaros (medicine songs), the music, prayer, and spirits will be an ally to those who are present with their transformation.
  • We are officially non-profit & church. Spirituality is very important to us, but we will never be dogmatic in our beliefs. While our ceremonies are spiritually based, they are very universalist as well. Folks with secular beliefs will not have issues connecting to the ceremony experience.
  • It can feel extremely overwhelming to find the right practitioner, modality or healing space when we live in such a fast-paced world. We are happy to provide a simple, organic and humble space where you can just be yourself. We believe that everyone is a student in this space— we are all apart of the same universal chain of interconnectedness! We hope you will join us in this incredible opportunity to unravel & remember who we truly are.

Our Retreats are for you if…

  • You are looking for a retreat that is not overwhelming in size (2-10 participants)
  • You are seeking a supportive community to connect with in the long-term— Whether it be for integration, friendship, spirituality or medicinal purposes!
  • You are unable to travel to South America or commit to a longer term retreat.
  • You feel a profound urge to become a better human, work on trauma, process challenging emotions, foster a deeper connection with Nature or expand your relationship with Spirit/Source/The Universe.

We are a “mobile ministry”. This means that we split our time between Upstate New York and the high desert of Arizona. We feel the call to be in service to both sides of this country. We also hope to someday soon travel to other states and offer our retreats in more locations.

For our New York offerings, we have a beautiful property in the woods that we hold our retreats in. We are blessed with 60 acres of forest land, with hiking trails, waterfalls and a large pond. It is completely remote, and a perfect opportunity to give yourself to solitude.  Because we host small retreats, we are able to offer a tenderness and care that births an intimacy of relationship. The better we know you the more we can curate the experience to your needs and ultimately the more you will get out of the experience.

Please message us if you’d like more information about our retreats or upcoming schedule. We are always available to talk about this work if you have any questions. Thanks so much for reading and many blessings!

Vision Statement

Our vision is to become compassionate, pure, healthy, and unconditionally loving people. Through prayer, meditation and the foundational support of our ancestors and their medicines, we humbly walk this path.

In a world shrouded by illusion, our Medicine bursts through the shadows as a shining light. We call upon the guidance of our sacred plant teachers to shed hardened layers around our heart built by the suffering we have endured.

Through dance and song, we shatter resistance keeping us from a righteous and all pervading Spiritual Relationship with life. Our ancient Amazonian Medicine combined with communal celebration yields profound healing for our selves and the entire planet.

We strongly believe in the Great Spirit that dwells within all living beings. This Spirit is alive, deeply caring and calling us home to the Present Moment. We embrace all religions and creeds. All roads lead to the same One, loving and ever-present Being.

Our Mission is to provide a sacred container, as well as education and support for those who are called to Plant Medicine. Ceremony is a state of mind that can embraced every single moment of our lives. We seek to help others cultivate this way of being through integrating spiritual experience.

We also believe that human connection is a powerful gateway to the soul. Maharani Medicine offers a community space for all people to share and grow.

We honor ourselves by truly integrating our Plant Medicine journeys. In choosing to remember Love on the daily, we help the world heal. It is our prayer that we can support people, whether they are preparing for ceremony, sitting in ceremony or integrating afterward. We want every person we meet to thrive and find great internal success. We invite you to join us!

Amazing! My experience at Maharani Medicine was truly life changing. Elaina and Austin were unbelievable guides on this journey. The Facilitators, Natasha, Joey and Danielle were extremely kind, attentive and supportive. I have a traumatic past so I do not trust easily. I was anxious and worried going into this ceremony. I have literally never felt so safe and supported by strangers. By the end of the weekend they not strangers but family. Through the beautiful Medicine I reached a part of me I did not even know existed. It was deeply spiritual, deeply loving. Not only did I receive these gifts, I was able to release and acknowledge my sorrow. If you are considering Maharani Medicine, I cannot say strongly enough, do it! It is hard work but you and I are worth it. Go in love and light my friends.

I cannot recommend Maharani Medicine Circles (Eliana, Austin and their wonderful crew!) enough. As a certified psychedelic-assisted psychotherapist, I was looking for more own deeper healing experience and exploration. From the first text to Austin, who asked me all the informed questions, to emails with Eliana, each communication confirmed to me that these were experienced practitioners and that I was safe to choose them to not only introduce me to a powerful plant medicine such as Ayahuasca but that they would hold a beautiful space for me to experience it, physically, emotionally, psychically, and spiritually. There was a plethora of support, preparation, and information. There was nourishing food, beautiful music, and so much inter-relational support. My two experiences with Mother Aya that weekend were profound and took me personally to levels of healing I had not yet experienced. It is several weeks later and I am still integrating and processing. I am so grateful for what Eliana, Austin, Serenity, Jake and with my deepest apologies, I know I am forgetting names but each were so supportive and knowledgeable and I am so thankful to each of them and to the brave and beautiful souls that I was on the journey with as well.

I am incredibly grateful to have met Eliana, Austin, and all of the facilitators at Maharani Medicine.

This was my second Aya retreat, but after this experience, I truly feel like I couldn’t go anywhere else in the future. Every member of the team was kind, compassionate, and deeply dedicated to making sure each ceremony became exactly what it needed to be for every journeying soul.

We were also lucky enough to experience time outdoors and take in the beauty that comes with The Lighthouse, which made the experience even more special.

I already look forward to making this a yearly mental health reset.

    Aho.

This was my first time sitting in ceremony with this group, and from the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed, safe, and truly seen. I had done ceremonies before mostly with the same facilitator so stepping into a new space brought me outside of my comfort zone and stirred up some nerves. I came with a trusted friend who had sat with them before, which helped ease that transition.
I came for the ayahuasca, but what I experienced was so much more. The group (complete strangers at first), felt incredibly aligned, supportive, and real. There was a depth of connection that naturally formed and made the entire experience even more powerful.
Eliana and Austin opened their home with warmth and intention, and the entire team of facilitators played a vital role in holding the space. The level of care was felt in every detail from the nourishing meals to the grounded, attentive support throughout the weekend. When I was really in it, I was met with compassion, presence, and genuine care not just from one person, but from multiple facilitators who were fully there to support the process.
This was a deeply transformative experience that I will always carry with me. I would wholeheartedly recommend this space to anyone who feels called to do this work. I can’t wait to go back and sit in ceremony again!!

I have now sat with medicine twice, both experiences with the Maharani medicine circle and 1 year apart from each other.
For me, both experiences have been monumental throughout my self development in facing all the burdens I have carried throughout my life. The support and guidance from facilitators within that journey have been held with such Care and leadership. In order for me to get to the root cause of what my shadows needed attention on I needed to trust. I really wanted to get to know myself in the deepest ways possible and this community of medicine allowed me the opportunity to confidently show up with vulnerability and acceptance. It can be intimidating but with the guidance of shadow work and honest direct input, I now understand how healing this path truly can be.
By surrendering to the process I am able to look back and have so much gratitude for the guidance of Maharani medicine.
I also love the fact that there are follow-up integration calls so I don’t feel forgotten even after the experiences and integrating back into the world. I feel the value of this work is so important and look forward to expanding my curiosity of self while in the proper hands of this lovely community. So much love and gratitude for their offerings of medicine and community!✨
