A small retreat center focused on individual healing plant medicine process in groups of no more than 10 participants at a time. We are located in the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas in a remote Andean village. Scheduling is by request. We offer 4, 6 and 11 Day Retreats, Kambo treatments and stays, all with the option to extend for more time resting or deeper cleansing. The retreat healings plants and therapies include Ayahuasca, Yopo, San Pedro, Kambo and Temazcal (Sweat Lodge).
Our purpose is to create a ripple effect in the consciousness of humanity through work with sacred plant medicines of Peru and healing techniques we have chosen, through our own positive experiences, and believe compliment the process of plant medicines. To bring about a new earth first we must help heal the traumas of the past.
We first must begin healing the individual in a gentle process. Each process is considered on an individual basis and what the healers feel would be best suited to the work they would like to accomplish. There is space to explore deeper and daily consultations after ceremony to begin to understand the messages of the plant medicine and have a focus for the next ceremony.
The longer the retreat, the deeper the healing. All of our programs are intensive, however there is space to take your time in the healing process through extending your retreat or opting to take less or no medicine. We guide participants only to where they feel comfortable or ready for. The ceremonies are practiced in a sacred context with Icaros (medicine songs) and sacred instruments. Each ceremony has assistants to help care for each person and anything they need.
During your time at the retreat you will have everything you need for a comfortable stay with all modern necessities. We provide everything, you need only to bring yourself and a few pairs of warmer clothes. In the Andes, we can experience all four seasons in one day, but tend to have cold nights and warm days. There are Incan ruins above the center and plenty of hiking trails around, so comfortable clothes and good shoes are a must.
With the power of the heart we are bringing every person into the healing power of the sacred medicinal plants of Peru through ceremony. We have ongoing local projects offering people in the nearby town healings and ceremonies.

April 28, 2018 at 11:48 amI spent two months searching the place I should go to. I am glad that I ended up with Shamanic Vida retreat center. The place is wonderful and very peaceful. But what makes this place even more special is the people. Chrissy and Pacco were so helpful and gave a lot of care and kindness for every single person there.
I was happy to be there and met new people.
Thank you, Chrissy and Pacco

April 12, 2018 at 5:18 pmLast month I did a workaway at Shamanic Vida Center and I ended up doing ayahuasca. I saw how Pacco and Chrissy were working with the medicine and I felt really safe in their hands. They have an beautiful awarenes full with love. I could also observe how the people on the retreat were healing through ayahuasca, and how they were guided by Chrissy and Pacco. After two weeks of working with them I got the call to do an ayahuasca ceremony. This was an amazing and beautiful experience. The talk with Pacco and Chrissy before and after the ceremony were very helpful to put my experience in perspective.

February 15, 2018 at 6:42 amI had a wonderful time at Shamanic Vida. The venue is lovely. The scenery is beautiful and the people are amazing. I had a good time at the 6-day retreat because I was able to get the detoxing and spiritual cleanse I needed through various forms if healing modalities such as ayahuasca, reiki, temezcal (sweat lodge), san pedro and meditation. It was wonderful because all the resources were there. The place was comfortable and I shared a room with one person. Water bottles were provided. I ended up sleeping in the teepee after each ceremony anyway under the rain and with the sounds of crickets. I woke up to birds chirping and humming birds flying. The place has a balanced energy and I loved that Pacco, the shaman, is so down to earth like the medicine. He was a great leader through ceremonies and preparing food. Chrissy was also very prompt with my questions about the ceremony. I was really hesitant about the whole thing, but after getting to know them, I felt I could trust them. They were very patient with me. I always imagined going to an older shaman, but Pacco was a great fit for me because he has the passion of an artist and this allowed me to fly and spread my wings. He was very attentive and always came to see how I was doing. Thank you Pacco, Chrissy and all at the center for being a highlight of my Peru trip.

January 24, 2018 at 1:48 pmI am writing this review from the perspective of someone who has taken ayahuasca for the first time, and as such have no basis for comparison as to what this experience would be like at a different retreat center. But here are some of the reasons why I decided to go with Shamanic Vida, what the experience was like, and why I would choose to journey deeper into the medicine with Pacco and Chrissy:
Choosing a retreat to experience your first journey into ayahuasca is not a light decision to make. I literally read almost every review for every place before deciding to go with Shamanic Vida. All the positive reviews, a strong recommendation from a friend who had previously taken the medicine with them, and a personal phone call with Chrissy wherein she addressed all of my concerns, solidified my decision to go with Shamanic Vida. I knew that I was going to be in a safe space under the guidance of experienced and compassionate healers.
And wow… all I can say is what a profound, wonderful, amazing, and beautiful life-changing experience this was! Shamanic Vida far exceeded all my expectations. I had come to Shamanic Vida as a last resort after going through a year of depression, feelings of life lacking meaning and purpose, and just a lot of sadness and discontent (largely due to a series of major life events in 2017). Pacco and Chrissy showed me so much kindness, care, and compassion throughout the journey. They helped me to feel safe during the ceremonies, especially on a night when I was having a difficult experience. Pacco’s icaros helped guide me through the journey. They are so powerful (they are on YouTube and Facebook) and even now I stalk their videos just to listen because it gives me so much peace and literally pulls at my heart strings.
After the ceremonies, we had one on one consultations which helped me to internalize and process my realizations. I also got to experience other healing medicines like San Pedro, rape, and kambo, as well as a temazcal ceremony. It’s amazing how all of these things complement each other! The holistic approach in which the retreat was structured and the way everything was so well integrated, contributed a lot to my healing experience. This review barely scratches the surface… there are other things too… the yoga classes, being surrounded by nature, Minnie (she is such a sweet and loving creature), the delicious food… everything! They’ve created such a safe and beautiful space for people who wish to journey into ayahuasca or explore other healing medicines that I would choose Shamanic Vida again, should I ever feel compelled to journey deeper and find myself in Peru.
Some tips…
– It’s ok to have a list of intentions, but what I’ve discovered is that oftentimes the medicine will give you what you need and not necessarily what you ask for
– If you are struggling with something internally or had a tough experience, take advantage of the one on one sessions with Pacco and Chrissy as they will really help internalize the learnings you get with the medicine
– I think the healing doesn’t end when you leave the retreat center, I am constantly discovering new things about myself and having moments of insight and revelation, it’s good to know that I can contact Pacco and Chrissy at any time, especially when integration back into daily life can be difficult
– Also, while its tempting to ask about what others experienced and what their vision looked like, remember that yours will bound to be unique, just as you are unique…so be open to expecting the unexpected!

January 19, 2018 at 7:23 amWhere do I start… Shamanic Vida, what a place! Since the moment I walked in I felt so good, so peacefull surrrounded by the beautifull nature of the Sacred Valley and the lovely beings Chrissy and Paco are. And this was important for me. I was planning to do Ayahuasca but only when it felt right. This was very important to me as I have epilepsy and there is not much known about the risk of taking Ayahuasca while having epilepsy. I could not have imagined a place better then Shamanic Vida to go through this process. Paco guided me from day one towards the Ayahuasca ceremony. We slowly broke down my epilepsy medicine intake as you are not suppose to have chemicals in your body while taking Ayahuasca, and he supported me with alternatives to balance it out. So much attention to detail and love received, amazing. Then with the ceremony itself all the right care and precautions were taken, as we would not know what would happen without epilepsy medicine under influence of Ayahuasca. I felt so taken care of, they really were there for me 100%. And everything went well. So well that now, 4 months later, I am still off my epilepsy medicine. A miracle? I don’t know, I still have to pass by the hospital to see how the situation is… I believe more that Paco, Chrissy and Ayahuasca teached me how to connect better with my body and provided the right alternative care necessary in order to keep me away from ceasures without taking meds. I can’t describe how gratefull I am for this amazing process I went through and still are in. Thankful for all the love received from Paco, Chrissy and other people around and looking forward to come back one day. Hopefully, still without epilepsy medicine and feeling better then ever before. I will never forget you guys and mother Ayahuasca, one love…
