At Sapan Inka, we believe participating in an Ayahuasca retreat is a powerful opportunity for profound energetic and spiritual cleansing and healing. An Ayahuasca experience can be immensely favorable for those embarking on a journey of transformation and spiritual development. Our unique model is a conscious synthesis of the millenary wisdom of Amazonian medicine and the principles of depth and transpersonal psychology. We are not a center for spiritual tourism or mere Ayahuasca experiences; we are a dedicated space for exploring the deep psyche, practicing ancestral Amazonian medicine, and supporting transformative processes.
We distinguish ourselves through our philosophy of minimal interference and the unwavering shamanic and spiritual support provided in our ceremonies. Our commitment to ethics and professionalism is paramount. We believe an Ayahuasca ceremony is an opening to the reality of the soul and a world of sacred images. For this reason, we practice minimal interference during your experience of expanded states of consciousness, allowing the healing intelligence of Ayahuasca and your own inner being to guide the process. This is not abandonment or a lack of warmth; it is a conscious act of respect and trust in your innate capacity to heal and in the divine power of the medicine itself.
The transformative power of Ayahuasca is fully realized through a structured integration process. At Sapan Inka, our psychotherapeutic integration is more than a simple conversation; it is a rigorous process designed to help you assimilate, process, and effectively integrate your experiences. We provide a space for you to understand the intricate symbolic language of your visions, converting profound insights into tangible and lasting change. This is how the spiritual revelations from the ceremonies are bridged with your daily life, ensuring the journey leads to genuine personal growth.
To navigate this journey, rigorous preparation is essential. An Ayahuasca experience can be incredibly challenging, and its potency demands thorough mental, emotional, and spiritual readiness. It is crucial for participants to understand that this is not a shortcut, but a deep and profound inner work that requires commitment and maturity.
Given the serious nature of our work, we are aware that our approach may not satisfy everyone’s expectations. Those who seek a more superficial, less confrontational experience or group activities may find other centers more suitable. Our model is designed for individuals committed to holistic healing and willing to embark on a serious psychospiritual path. This is why our groups are intentionally small, to ensure the personalized and ethical attention that is the cornerstone of our years of experience and dedication.
At Sapan Inka, our commitment is to support you on your journey, respecting the authenticity of your process and providing a safe and professional environment for a genuine transformation.
If you wish to explore the details of our retreats or simply prefer a more personal connection before beginning your journey, we invite you to schedule a 15-minute video call with us.

April 20, 2025 at 11:10 pmFor those walking the path of plant medicine, I’ve always felt it would be deeply helpful to hear from people not just fresh out of a retreat, but after they’ve returned home—after the dust settles and the integration begins. So, here’s my story.
In 2022, my husband and I were facing some real challenges in our marriage. We had both sat in ayahuasca ceremonies before—he had done seven, and I had done six. Each journey had touched us in different ways. When we chose to attend a retreat together, it was with a shared intention: to grow individually and to heal as a couple.
After much research, we found Sapan Inka—and on the second night of the retreat, I had the most profound ayahuasca journey of my life. To this day, I still don’t fully understand what I experienced, but I know it shifted something deep inside me. The process wasn’t easy for either of us, but it was powerful, sacred, and deeply healing. It helped us reconnect in ways we hadn’t even realized we needed.
Erik and Nilda held such a tender, safe container. Their space was truly sacred, and the food—nourishing and intentional—was incredible. I was especially drawn to Sapan Inka because of Erik’s background in transpersonal psychology and his devotion to honoring the wisdom of the Peruvian and Amazonian traditions. It meant so much that he met with us on Zoom before the retreat and stayed connected for follow-ups after the ceremonies. That kind of care makes a difference.
Today, nearly three years later, our marriage is stronger than ever. In September 2025, we will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary—with more love, more presence, and more gratitude than I ever could’ve imagined.
Plant medicine journeys are not the end of healing—they are the doorway. They crack your heart open and invite you into growth. But the real transformation happens when you return home. Integration—living the lessons, staying open, and practicing presence—is where the magic takes root.
Please don’t forget this part. Integration is different for everyone: meditation, yoga, breathwork, time in nature, exercise, mindfulness, cooking with love, blessing your food… whatever it is for you, let it come from the heart. This is your journey, your story. You are the author. You write the recipe for your life.
With love and gratitude for this human experience—which is rarely easy, but always sacred—I know that if you have the courage to face your pain, to walk through it rather than around it, you will grow in love beyond what you ever thought possible.

March 25, 2025 at 8:57 amHello, i’ve been at Sapan Inka and i can strongly treasure my possitive results. I took a huge step toward healing. It’s been three weeks since my visit to Sapan Inka, and today I’m clearly better in every way. I used to suffer from high blood pressure, cardiac arrhythmia, and years of depression. Now that I’m back home, I no longer take any medication for these conditions. My personal results were more than astonishing, but they required a lot of faith and self-belief in the treatment I took, along with a true desire and need to improve and move forward in life with enthusiasm and joy. To all who truly want to improve and overcome their physical and emotional obstacles, I wholeheartedly ask and recommend: go with great faith and the certainty that you will overcome your impediments; you will breathe new air, and believe me, your lives will take a positive direction, free from the slavery of the obstructions of the soul and body. Your lives will be happier, and, at the same time, you will see this reflected in your loved ones.

March 23, 2025 at 12:31 amI attended the Sapan Inka Retreat in Feb 2025 and had an incredibly transformative experience. The retreat location is as beautiful as it can be possible on earth.
The facilities had the right level of comfort required. The food was amazing taste wise and appropriate for the occasion.
During my stay, I participated in two ayahuasca ceremonies. The integration sessions, before & after the ceremonies were particularly insightful and really thought provoking,
They were private and provided a safe space to discuss and process the experiences.
Thank you Erik & Nilda!

March 22, 2025 at 1:14 pmThe most transformative week for me- Erik and Nilda are incredibly wise, gifted, and thoughtful souls, and I could tell that much thought was put into how they share the medicine. My friend that joined me said they felt changed on a cellular level, and I feel this deeply as well. I felt so supported by both of them throughout and could not have imagined doing this anywhere else. Their Icaros feel magic & so powerful, and their home/location is very beautiful in the Sacred Valley. I already miss it. I feel immensely grateful to them and the experience.
Everything was set up seamlessly for the tours and the rooms were recently equipped with space heaters and quite comfortable. An adorable bonus are the most lovable puppies on hand to lend a paw.

¡Gracias inmensas!
