Marosa Healing Center is a family-led, Shipibo-run plant medicine retreat for those seeking deep healing, personal transformation, and a genuine connection to traditional Amazonian medicine. Whether you’re navigating chronic illness, emotional challenges, or a call toward spiritual alignment, we offer a grounded, supportive environment to do that work safely and intentionally.
Our retreat is designed for people who want more than a surface-level experience. Here, you’re not just attending ceremonies—you’re stepping into a living tradition. Guests are welcomed into a small, heart-centered community where healing unfolds through ayahuasca ceremonies, plant diets, and daily connection with the jungle.
We intentionally keep our groups small (maximum 14 guests) so each person receives real attention, care, and space for integration. Accommodations are simple, private, and comfortable—created to support rest, reflection, and deep internal work.
Rather than focusing on luxury amenities, we prioritize the quality of care. Our team includes highly experienced Shipibo healers with decades of practice, guiding each process with precision, integrity, and compassion.

About Our Lead Healer
Marosa Healing Center is led by Maestra Angela Sanchez Rios, a highly respected Shipibo healer with over 25 years of experience working with ayahuasca and Amazonian plant medicine.
Known for her warmth, presence, and deep level of care, Maestra Angela works closely with each guest, tending not only to the ceremonial space but to the full healing process. Her approach includes a range of traditional practices such as plant vapor baths, personalized plant remedies, and the preparation and guidance of master plant diets.
Her work is rooted in both strength and compassion—holding each person with the same level of attention and care she would offer her own family.

Maestra Angela and Fredy shared their wisdom and knowledge with such generosity, making each moment feel meaningful and grounded. The environment was deeply relaxing and peaceful, a perfect setting for rest and renewal. The staff were attentive, kind, and always ensured we were cared for in every way. The premises had everything we could possibly need, allowing us to focus entirely on our healing journey. I’m deeply grateful for this experience.

En mi tercer estadía en la selva Peruana definitivamente fue una bendición encontrar este lugar y esta familia tras muchos años junto a la medicina, sin dudas este lugar es muy especial . Inmerso en una reserva natural aislado de todo tipo de molestias, sin dudas es un lugar excepcional para las Ceremonias. Buena estancia, buena comida. Gracias por recibirnos y pronto nos volveremos a encontrar.

May 29, 2025 at 3:17 pmIt was my first experience in an Ayahuasca retreat and dieting amazon master plants, I stayed for a total of 11 days. I couldn’t be happier with the choice I made when choosing Marosa for it. Run by an authentic shipibo family with complete respect for local tradition, the people, the place and the surroundings all work together for an amazing experience. Facilities are nice, clean and simple, everything thought out to allow you to be able to connect with amazon plant medicine, cleansing and healing. The shamans are incredibly powerful, apart from friendly and available. Food was nurturing, consisting mainly of locally sourced whole foods with menues specifically tailored to plant diets. You get your own private space in the middle of the jungle, and there’s even a close by stream you can swim in – as long as you follow the shamans’ indications. If you are experiencing difficulties in your daily life, whether they be physical, emotional, mental or spiritual, do yourself a favor and go to Marosa. Your mind and body will be grateful and you will leave this place a better person.

May 22, 2025 at 9:59 pmI did a 7-day retreat at Marosa Healing Center in mid-May, and it was my second time working with ayahuasca. The setting in the jungle is peaceful and raw — perfect for going inward. The shamans were incredible, the facilitators genuinely caring, and the ceremonies were deep, powerful, and safe.
Compared to my first retreat, I was able to surrender more and go deeper. The integration support was solid too — daily sharing, quiet reflection, and space to process.
If you’re looking for an authentic, grounded, and heart-led ayahuasca experience, Marosa is the place.

April 20, 2025 at 12:16 pmMarosa is a magical place that words can’t fully describe the care and love that is all around. Maestra Angela and her family are extremely sweet and nurturing. They are wise, loving and very profesional in their labor of accompanying in deep healing processes . Being in the middle of the jungle, makes it Even more magical. The Rivers, creeks and lakes in the middle of the white soft sand and surrounded by huge leafy jungle plantas is the perfect scenery to connect with the spirit of the plants and of the jungle. The starry skies and full moon at night are of incredible Beauty . Its truly a deep life changing experience and i highly recommend Marosa healing Center . I keep this place and their people very close to My heart with much grattitude and hope to be coming back soon.
