Maloca Sagrada

Cali, Colombia

Come be taken care of. High in the mountains outside Cali, Colombia, our farm sits among the clouds in a lush cloud forest, on land that once held a 3,000-year-old civilization. This is a place of peace and rest, where the soul can reconnect with the source of all that is.

Over nine days, guided by the wisdom and experience of Taita Edwin, you will be held in a space that feels like home. Our retreat offers far more than a getaway. It is an opportunity for deep healing, reflection, and lasting transformation with the sacred medicine.

At the heart of the retreat are four nights of sacred yagé ceremony, held in a maloca built by Taita himself and dedicated to the medicine, as well as outdoors under the open stars, surrounded by the wild beauty of the land. You will be supported throughout in a true family atmosphere, with safety, clarity, courage, and purpose. Connecting with the plant on the very land where it grows is a powerful experience that cannot be recreated elsewhere.

Between ceremonies, your days are filled with rest and gentle care: meditation, breathwork, yoga, herbal baths, rapé and sananga, and evening sharing circles. You are welcome to explore the farm, meet the animals, and pick fresh fruit. The hospitality, warmth, and kindness of the people, the beauty of the land, and the sounds and music of the valley come together to create a true sanctuary.

Your Nine-Day Retreat

Day 1 – Arrival. Upon arrival at Cali International Airport (CLO), you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to our peaceful finca, where you’ll meet the group, settle into your accommodations, and begin your journey.

I had a privilege to sit with Taita Edwin and his medicine for many years. I received so much healing and so much wisdom, that my gratitude to Taita is truly infinite.
Attending his retreat in the breathtaking mountains of Colombia was one of the most beautiful and profound experiences.
The mountain itself has so much healing power. It feels sacred and very well protected by Taita , Claudia and their family and team. And I must say you truly feel that everyone is treated as a family member, the amount of love and support we felt from them was absolutely incredible.
Since the moment we landed in Cali were so well taken care of, that we did not have to worry about anything except for our own inner work.
Transportation, comfortable accommodations, daily laundry service, abundance of delicious food with so many exotic fruits I’ve never even seen before… True farm to table experience… beautiful gardens, quiet places to contemplate alone as well as communal spaces for music and sharing…. and of course the view…. the Medicine… So much healing, so much beauty.
It was especially incredible to be in a Ceremony on top of the mountain with a vast open sky, above the clouds (!) and with an unforgettable view, feeling the power and protection of the nature all around.
I really hope to come back to Taita’s place again, it was an experience both my partner and I will cherish for the rest of our lives.

    Where do I even begin?!

My life and perspective has drastically changed since the day I began sitting with the medicine in the presence of Taita Edwin. My relationship with God has grown tremendously. I now have the hope, faith, trust, strength, confidence, perseverance and courage to face the challenges that this human experience presents as I continue to move through life with love and grace. That’s not to say that obstacles don’t continue to present themselves. The difference is that now I have uncovered the understanding and tools from within myself necessary to process what I am facing with humility and grace.

I have been very fortunate to have traveled all over the world to many beautiful and serene destinations. The one place that I always want to return to, without question, is Taita’s farm in Colombia. The retreat space is so gorgeous and filled with love that you can’t help but feel as though you are in the nourishing warm embrace of love that only a mother or grandmother can give.

Every aspect of the farm reinforces that feeling of love and beauty from Taita, his beautiful family, his gentle and caring team, to the amazing and humble people that prepare the most incredible meals you’ve ever been so fortunate to enjoy as well as the very kind workers that keep the retreat going and growing. Humility and love are a way of life here. It’s truly so refreshing to not only witness this beauty but to be wrapped in presence of it all.

The views are absolutely breathtaking! With mountain side hottub, hammocks, and steam room for resting throughout each day and very comfortable accommodations. Rooms are cleaned and laundry is washed and folded daily. Only thing asked of you is your presence so that you may bask in peace.

I feel incredibly blessed to have discovered this heaven on earth experience and can hardly wait until my return to the Maloca!

Truly a life altering experience and limitless discovery of self awareness with the love of Taita Edwin, Claudia and the whole team. The attention to detail within the community itself is breathtaking. From arrival to departure, there is guidance throughout the entirety of the experience and a profound spiritual connection with the vast blessings of God that sit atop the mountain. It is a 10 star experience and highly recommended.

From the moment we were picked up at the airport we entered the magical world of Taita Edwin, Claudia, family and team.
The location is so beautiful, almost overwhelming, but I was prepared to expect something amazing! The grounds, the accommodations, the food, the ceremonies could not have been more perfect! The live music during the ceremony I will address separately cause that brings the retreat to a whole new level! The rituals and music were beyond what I could have imagined. The spiritual transformation is something I have not stopped thinking about since I left. My love and gratitude to Taita Edwin and Claudia for creating a sanctuary of healing! Everything anyone could want was taken care of. The love, the warmth, the whole atmosphere was incredible! I highly recommend!

To this day, my time with Taita, Claudia, their incredible team, and the group we shared this experience with was one of the most beautiful, transformative weeks of my life.

Every single thing was thought of so that we didn’t have to think about anything except being there. From the moment you are picked up at the airport, you feel like you are already part of something special. And then you arrive. Wow, the arrival. I actually cried.

The land, the maloca, the rooms, the common spaces, the gardens. Heaven on earth. The pool and steam room are luxurious, the hammocks are everywhere, and I took a nap in one almost every single day, falling into the deepest sleep. That is how relaxed and held my body felt there. And the fooood, wow. The food is exceptional!

And then the ceremonies. That is what you are there for, and they are extraordinary.

You are cared for, seen and considered every step of the way. There is so much intention and reverence in how everything is held. Taita shares stories about the sacred objects throughout the property, about his lineage, his culture, his teachers, and the tradition this medicine comes from. You are being invited into something much larger and much older than yourself.

To be held in this beautiful space, so sacredly and lovingly created by Taita, Claudia, their family and team (holy moly, the music), was profoundly healing for me. Big healing happened. Understandings and revelations deepened. Lifelong connections were made. My heart opened and stayed open.

There is a before and after to this week for me.
And perhaps one of the greatest gifts was experiencing all of it alongside a group of people who became sacred family so quickly. Showing up for one another in some of the biggest, rawest, most beautiful ways.
    I cannot wait to return.
Gracias, Taita and Claudia, for what you have created and for what you make possible for the people who come into your care. Thank you to your beautiful family, your team, and my sacred family for the love, wisdom, devotion and care woven through every part of this experience.
So, so much love and gratitude.
