Agape Church for Soul Mind & Body is a non-profit church focused on liberating individuals to be confident in their life experience and spiritual practice through deep connection with the divine, mindfulness practices and self discovery. Agape Church aims to remove the labels associated with religious, political and geographical affiliation and allow people to just be themselves within a supportive, non-judgmental and like-minded community.

Agape Church applies the lessons of many spiritual guides & teachers within a ceremonial context for our congregation with an understanding that there is much to learn with an open-minded approach to all spiritual practices, wisdom and knowledge. Agape Church aims to normalize the reverent use of entheogenic sacraments, removing the stigmas associated with master plant & animal teachers in order to allow a deeper connection with our own humanity, nature, spirituality and higher self. I became a member of Ágape church two years ago, after spending much time looking for a trusted place to sit in ceremony. This community has truly become my family. They devote a significant amount of their time and energy to ensure everyone’s needs and well-being. The property is always well kept, all amenities are included, and the food is always deliciously prepared.

The profound healing experiences we have with plant medicines do not end with ceremony. How we integrate the insights that we’ve learned in these sacred spaces, the application of the tools and perspectives we receive will ultimately determine the transformation in our lives. Ágape makes sure to offer integration support within ceremony space as well as after ceremony has ended.

The humility, love, and respect they exhibit is truly remarkable. They conduct all ceremonies with utmost integrity and a deep reverence for these sacred ancestral medicines. Plant medicines have truly changed my life! They have given me the opportunity to become more humanized, to deepen my connection with creation and myself. I now volunteer and contribute my time whenever possible, as there is simply no other way I can express my gratitude.

When I first arrived to Agape Church in March of 2022 for a weekend ayahuasca retreat, I was defeated. This was my last attempt to feel human, feel anything but anger, sadness and resentment. I was numb, detached and not at all who I was before the brain injury.

For the previous 13 years I had been suffering from a severe brain injury I sustained while serving overseas in Afghanistan, and the symptoms and effects on my life had been profoundly miserable. Depression, fatigue, suicidal, you name it… for 13 years I had been extremely miserable.

After trying everything I could find and afford up until that point in my life, I was desperate for anything to work.

After a single retreat at Agape something shifted within me. I saw my life as a gift, even all the pain and suffering. I understood, deeply, how hard I had worked to stay alive all those years, even though many days I didn’t want to be.

Agape Church, the medicine of ayahuasca, saved my life. I feel like a new person, my “old life” seems so far and distant, yet such an important part of my story as to who I am today.

Thank you, Agape. I am forever grateful.

Amazing facility and people. I attended a retreat last September and couldn’t have felt more welcomed by Sergio, Raquel, and all the volunteers and members at Agape. The 3 ceremonies I participated in were peaceful and expertly facilitated. The location has a countryside feel which I feel is an asset during visits. I am ecstatic to be a member of the agape family and look forward to future retreats.

I have been a member of Agape for around a year and a half now., and have sat in multiple ceremonies for different plant medicines. Words can describe what my church means to me. I came to Agape so broken, during integration circles I would only give “3 words.” I was not used to my voice explaining anything I had ever gone through, or my internal beliefs around who I was. I look back and laugh now, because I can not shut up when I am talking about “me.” Agape not only opened their doors but their hearts and were willing to look past my uncomfortableness and love me anyways. I found my home (external and internal) through the process of unconditional love that Agape has shown me. If you want to work through the processes and find your true identity Agape is the place for the safest container to open your heart, mind and soul. I am truly blessed by my church, and eternally changed and grateful.

With the growing interest in plants of power and ancient techniques of expanding consciousness, the number of places that offer different kinds of ceremonies with different medicines is also increasing. For someone, who hears the calling to meet the plants deciding where to go could be in fact difficult. It is helpful to ask a few questions and do some investigation before we decide to whom we will give such fragile components of our beings as our physical and mental health. During the years of my experience, I was able to visit many places and see many things. Thanks to this, the questions I ask are clear. I would like to share the answers to these questions regarding my experience with Agape Church for the Soul, Mind & Body. Who are the people who organise and run ceremonies? What is their agenda? What do they offer before, during and after the retreat? Does their professional life as people who work with plant medicines match the values of their privet life? How transparent they are?

The real beauty and power of Agape lies in people who went through personal challenges and were able to use the teaching received from plant medicines in a good way. They have recognised the power of medicines and have manifested the dream of creating a place, where many can come and receive healing and wisdom. Moreover, in the process, they bring into existence not just a real, beautiful blood family with children, siblings, and grandparents involved, but an incredible community where many members can share regularly and support each other, where new friendships start and new lives begin. They created something that is very missing in our modern world – the tribe. And every person who comes to Agape is welcome to become part of the family. Sergio and Raquel pay lots of attention to pre-ceremonial groundwork and post-ceremonial integration. They focuse on supporting people by deep investigation regarding readiness for the ceremonies and, most importantly by offering assistance in applying the knowledge gathered during retreat in daily life. The agenda is not to make people keep coming back for more medicine, the agenda is to help people do homework as a fundamental element of a true life-changing experience. Breathtaking place in nature with super comfortable accommodation, loving assistance, delicious food and kind and compassionate volunteers make the whole experience one of the most important in life for many. The atmosphere of honesty and transparency helps to open up and heal deeply allowing vulnerability. The generosity of attention, understanding, shared wisdom, beautiful music and simple joy create deep bonds that make a long-lasting connection with the Family of Agape Church. The healing happens not just because of the encounter with powerful plant medicines, the healing happens because of the encounter with pure human hearts.
