A small retreat center focused on individual healing plant medicine process in groups of no more than 10 participants at a time. We are located in the famous Sacred Valley of the Incas in a remote Andean village. Scheduling is by request. We offer 4, 6 and 11 Day Retreats, Kambo treatments and stays, all with the option to extend for more time resting or deeper cleansing. The retreat healings plants and therapies include Ayahuasca, Yopo, San Pedro, Kambo and Temazcal (Sweat Lodge).

Our purpose is to create a ripple effect in the consciousness of humanity through work with sacred plant medicines of Peru and healing techniques we have chosen, through our own positive experiences, and believe compliment the process of plant medicines. To bring about a new earth first we must help heal the traumas of the past.

We first must begin healing the individual in a gentle process. Each process is considered on an individual basis and what the healers feel would be best suited to the work they would like to accomplish. There is space to explore deeper and daily consultations after ceremony to begin to understand the messages of the plant medicine and have a focus for the next ceremony.

The longer the retreat, the deeper the healing. All of our programs are intensive, however there is space to take your time in the healing process through extending your retreat or opting to take less or no medicine. We guide participants only to where they feel comfortable or ready for. The ceremonies are practiced in a sacred context with Icaros (medicine songs) and sacred instruments. Each ceremony has assistants to help care for each person and anything they need.

During your time at the retreat you will have everything you need for a comfortable stay with all modern necessities. We provide everything, you need only to bring yourself and a few pairs of warmer clothes. In the Andes, we can experience all four seasons in one day, but tend to have cold nights and warm days. There are Incan ruins above the center and plenty of hiking trails around, so comfortable clothes and good shoes are a must.

With the power of the heart we are bringing every person into the healing power of the sacred medicinal plants of Peru through ceremony. We have ongoing local projects offering people in the nearby town healings and ceremonies.

My Third Visit to Shamanic Vida —

I cannot express in words how grateful I am to have met Chrissy & Pacco and for the tremendous amount of healing and personal growth that has occurred as a result of my experiences at Shamanic Vida!

This past retreat, which was my third, was especially incredible. I had the privilege of bringing my family with me this time with the intention of helping my sister heal from opioid addiction. My mother and father came along, which a year ago I would’ve never dreamt of happening.

Before arriving, Chrissy & Pacco guided us from afar to help my sister through the withdrawal period and prepare her to make the trip to Shamanic Vida. She was already in a much greater place and had made it through the acute withdrawal period. Her experience at Shamanic Vida was life-changing. She expressed being freed of her addiction halfway through the retreat and is doing extremely well three months later. She’s working, working out, smiling and social again… all things that the addiction ended up making impossible. It is the greatest gift to have my sister back and I don’t know how we could have done it without Chrissy and Pacco.

I grew a lot in the process as well and look forward to my fourth visit!

I had a very good time with Chrissy and Paco in December. I was keen to feel what a Peruvian experience would be like, after having had several experiences in the US. However, my first night was extremely difficult. I was out of sorts and felt bone-chilling cold throughout the night. It was an agonizing experience and one that I will never forget. Like the devil was having fun with me. The next morning, I connected strongly with Paco and Chrissy and some others there, and I was able to get my bearings back. I couldn’t quite understand what had happened. I decided not to partake in any more Ayahuasca ceremonies.

A couple of days later we had San Pedro. What an absolutely beautiful day that was! It restored my faith in the goodness in this world. We then had Kambo which knocked me out for a bit, but not scary at all, just a very unusual sensation. The Rape was strong and had a delicious kick to it — I could feel a wave of small currents flowing through my body everytime I took it.

It’s been a month since I got back. I’ve understood that hellishly agonizing experiences are just as useful as divine ones. It’s like a sine wave. For you to be able to go higher, the medicine will sometimes take you lower than you’ve ever been. There are no bad experiences. Everything is useful. Everything makes you grow spiritually. The medicine knows more than you. It gives you what you need in that moment, not what you were hoping for. It’s important to develop courage to face this possibility and not be deterred by temporary insanity.

That night prepared me for further experiences back in the US, in which I thankfully connected back to my divinity. It gave me the confidence to expect and accept the whole range of experiences possible and not desire only pleasant ones. All par for the course.

The 5 other participants had wonderful experiences with the medicine. I had a good time bonding with them over the 6 days. There are good hikes around, and an idyllic village nearby. They are building a new center which will open in Feb. That space will be larger than what they have now.

I don’t wish to scare anyone with this review. If this is one of your first experiences, you’ll likely have a great time. My first ten or so were gradual buildups to an absolutely divine connection.

I would recommend Paco and Chrissy anytime. They’re wonderful people who care about the participants. Their 1 year old daughter is delightful, as is the dog Mini. The lodging was rustic, the food was great, and I think the new center is going to be well equipped. I credit them for making me get back to normal after that first night.

I know I needed help to get me me over a few hurdles , and I felt that Ayahuasca was going to help me and she did , she showed me what I needed .,
I had already processed a lot through therapy but I still had some limiting self beliefs which were annoying to me , mainly based on fear and anxiety , I knew I have good things to come and great things to offer but it was only me sabotaging myself and I didn’t want to waste anymore precious time .
So a year later I decided it was the right time and thing for me .
I realised also even though I had done a lot of work mentally and let go of a lot of issues , my body still held a lot of the toxins from my negative emotions so it was also about teaching my body to let go , in doing so my joints especially my knees which have plagued me for years feel amazing now , that was also the help of Kambo , Sweat Lodge , Rapé , Sananga and San Pedro which are all part of the healing process .
I promised myself to do everything and trust the process , the only hurdle was to trust in myself which I eventually found by listening to Pacco who I have tremendous respect for .
I truly loved every ceremony he did , it made it even more special of how much passion he had in his work and also the love and passion he had for us to help us heal
. He always put a smile on our faces to .

We had a gift from Chrissy which was Attunement for Reiki so we can learn to heal ourselves , it was exactly what I needed , everything I believed in about how we make ourselves ill and how we can heal ourselves is in Reiki in my view and is also a valuable tool.
Chrissy did Reiki on me and everything she picked up on with me was spot on , I was amazed.
I also have tremendous respect for her .

We had a lot of fun there to , really so much fun , it can be as light hearted as you want it , , the people I met I connected with and I feel I have made lifelong friends , everyone that was there is in my heart.

I was worried after the retreat that I would go back to my normal self , but I didn’t , I step into my own power now , I indulge in the present and set goals and intentions for the future , the past is now only an observation .

I feel blessed and truly grateful for the love and support I received .

They are wonderful family and i will feel part of it to. x

Such a warm and caring atmosphere that strongly focuses on healing. Both Paco & Chrissy are so giving and are able to this a great place to transform yourself into a better you. From suggesting/providing a better diet, offering ways to seek a better mindstate and self-care techniques, they can help anyone that’s wanting to work on themself. I look forward to coming back in the future.

One of the best and most important experiences of my life. I got everything I came here for and more. This was truly life changing; from the lessons I was given via the plant medicines, the atmosphere the hosts of the retreat created, to the lifetime bonds I cultivated with everyone. Wow.

Shamanic Vida felt like a second home. The set and setting was perfect, the food/diet plan had me well nourished and the small group size created a safe environment which meant proper care and attention for each participant. The atmosphere Chrissy and Pacco create in their home is inviting, warm and caring. They accept you for who you are, they don’t judge and are truly there to help in a variety of ways. They do one on one consultations in between ceremonies and take the time and space to get to know and understand you on a deeper level.

I went into my first ceremony as a newcomer and thus fairy anxious but these sensations were put to ease due to the inner calmness of Pacco (the Shaman) and Chrissy. They hold a gentle/loving space that encourages self-expression. Some ceremonies I wanted to sing, others I wanted to be silent…..Just be you and let if flow! In addition to the ceremonies there are various breathing exercises, meditations and a Temazcal Sweat Lodge that serve as such great compliments to the journey.

I came in search of guidance from Ayahuasca and San Pedro. I left with just that and many many lessons from Chrissy and Pacco themselves simply as a result of the people they are. It’s two months after my retreat and I feel better mentally and physically than I ever have. I was given a path for clearer direction in my life, a greater sense of inner trust and peace and the deeper knowledge that everything is as it should be.

Overall, my advice is to go into the experience with little expectations, accept whatever comes, open yourself up to where the medicine wants to take you and trust in yourself, the Shaman and the medicine. The diet is very helpful too! I took it serious and was most certainly rewarded. Ask if you have any questions! Chrissy and Pacco have a system in place but are flexible in their approach and will make adjustments to your individual needs.
