At Sapan Inka, we believe participating in an Ayahuasca retreat is a powerful opportunity for profound energetic and spiritual cleansing and healing. An Ayahuasca experience can be immensely favorable for those embarking on a journey of transformation and spiritual development. Our unique model is a conscious synthesis of the millenary wisdom of Amazonian medicine and the principles of depth and transpersonal psychology. We are not a center for spiritual tourism or mere Ayahuasca experiences; we are a dedicated space for exploring the deep psyche, practicing ancestral Amazonian medicine, and supporting transformative processes.
We distinguish ourselves through our philosophy of minimal interference and the unwavering shamanic and spiritual support provided in our ceremonies. Our commitment to ethics and professionalism is paramount. We believe an Ayahuasca ceremony is an opening to the reality of the soul and a world of sacred images. For this reason, we practice minimal interference during your experience of expanded states of consciousness, allowing the healing intelligence of Ayahuasca and your own inner being to guide the process. This is not abandonment or a lack of warmth; it is a conscious act of respect and trust in your innate capacity to heal and in the divine power of the medicine itself.
The transformative power of Ayahuasca is fully realized through a structured integration process. At Sapan Inka, our psychotherapeutic integration is more than a simple conversation; it is a rigorous process designed to help you assimilate, process, and effectively integrate your experiences. We provide a space for you to understand the intricate symbolic language of your visions, converting profound insights into tangible and lasting change. This is how the spiritual revelations from the ceremonies are bridged with your daily life, ensuring the journey leads to genuine personal growth.
To navigate this journey, rigorous preparation is essential. An Ayahuasca experience can be incredibly challenging, and its potency demands thorough mental, emotional, and spiritual readiness. It is crucial for participants to understand that this is not a shortcut, but a deep and profound inner work that requires commitment and maturity.
Given the serious nature of our work, we are aware that our approach may not satisfy everyone’s expectations. Those who seek a more superficial, less confrontational experience or group activities may find other centers more suitable. Our model is designed for individuals committed to holistic healing and willing to embark on a serious psychospiritual path. This is why our groups are intentionally small, to ensure the personalized and ethical attention that is the cornerstone of our years of experience and dedication.
At Sapan Inka, our commitment is to support you on your journey, respecting the authenticity of your process and providing a safe and professional environment for a genuine transformation.
If you wish to explore the details of our retreats or simply prefer a more personal connection before beginning your journey, we invite you to schedule a 15-minute video call with us.

April 16, 2024 at 1:53 pmI participated in a five day retreat with Sapan Inka (Erik and Nilda) in October of 2023. The retreat consisted of two ayahuasca ceremonies and one san pedro ceremony. Sapan Inka arranged for transportation for Cusco city to their home in the sacred valley and back to Cusco city afterwards. From start to finish I felt safe in the “safe container” that they created for me and the other retreat participants. Our group were five in total on the retreat and none of us knew each other before the retreat but shared a common bond as spiritual seekers on a healing path.
I had my own room in the main house with a private bath and I think some rooms were double occupancy. Accommodations were nice and comfortable but simple. Nilda did all the cooking throughout the retreat and meals were simple vegan meals consistetn withthe Ayahuasca diet.
Erik was a wonderful counselor and coach throughout the entire retreat. He made himself available for 1-1 conversations before and after every ceremony and has been available for followup sessions on video conference. Erik has helped guide me for several weeks/months since the retreat making book recommendations and other recommendations to expand my spiritual practice.
I never asked Erik about his religion but in our conversations and in the songs and chants I heard references to Christ, the holy spirit, and native Peruvian symbolism. It was a beautiful and non-dogmatic blend of meaningful spiritual traditions as a backdrop but nothing was pushed on me.
This is a real deep spiritual retreat and if you are like me willing to put in real work in preparation and in post ceremony integration I can highly recommend it.

April 8, 2024 at 4:17 pmIt was my first ceremony of ayahuasca, and honestly, I was scared, but when I reached the retreat home I became calmer, the place was very peaceful. When I met Erik and Nilda I felt like I could trust them, they are very nice people! After the ceremonies, I realized they doing these retreats because they really want to help people! And also they are curious about the universe and everything. When people love what they doing they will definitely do their best. So I am so happy that I found them and decided to make this journey in their retreat house.
My life is divided into before and after. It’s difficult to explain in words, but you will definitely understand after this retreat, you will find answers! And also you will find the keys to all the doors!
I am using my new knowledges right now, after retreat, and then when I am stuck on my way again I will definitely come back, thank you so much Eric and Nilda ☺️

April 7, 2024 at 2:13 pmupdate April 2024:
Sitting here two years later – planning Honeymoon with my future wife and as part of it want to do my first retreat since then, again at Sapan Inka. The experience still feels very close and it was the start of a transformation process that eventually would bring together the different pieces of my life (and ad some missing ones as well). I see positive effects of it daily.

I can highly recommend Sapan Inka and say that the entire experience had a very positive impact on my life.
I choose Sapan Sinka because they have a lot of experience with Ayahuascua but are also well versed in western psychology, I strongly appreciated their offer to have online integration sessions and was very glad to make use of them when questions arised well after the Ceremony.
From the start I had a lot of trust in Eric/Nilda and I felt that they believe in their cause and really want to help people. After the ceremonies Eric never drew hasty conclusions but rather just listened and explained what outcomes he has seen with other participants.
As for how it has changed my life: Eric will be the first to point out that taking Ayahuascua is not the solution but only the starting point – he will emphasize on the importance of integration after the experience.
Taking Ayahuasca at Sapan Inka has made many things clear to me and it helps me everyday in being my best self – thank you for that!

April 5, 2024 at 10:42 amI participated in the 6 day retreat with Sapan Inka and it was extremely transformative for me. It was my first time trying Ayahuasca and I got way more out of it that I ever could have imagined. The retreat center was very serene and Erik and Nilda are very nice people.
In my one and only ayahuasca trip it took me quite a long time for it to kick in and it was close to when the ceremony was over. Nilda and Erik stayed with me for several hours after, and it was nice to be supported during that time.
We also went to Machu Picchu one day and Erik and Nilda set us up with all the travel and transportation in addition to a great guide which was wonderful.
All in all a great experience.
