At Rooted Waters, we offers pathways to healing through ceremony and ritual.
We are a small retreat centre based in the exquisite natural environment of British Columbia and offer retreats around the world.

Our way is rooted in creative process, nature connection, song, and prayer while holding compassion and humility at the heart.
Our Iboga Ceremonies & programs are crafted with care, offering opportunities for healing and exploring the intricate nature of being human through the reconciliation of one’s self with Spirit.
With over 15 years of experience with Iboga, plant medicines & initiatory processes of Life we seek to support people in connecting with the Gift they have come here, on this beautiful Earth, to embody.

We offer support for all people of all places whether you are struggling with:
Our intention is to support the integral connection of body, mind and spirit, inspiring emergent wholeness.
We embark upon the road of healing. To find that this path is equally challenging as it is bountiful. Each step taken is an act of love for the self, the earth we walk on and for future generations.
Rooted Waters provides intimate Iboga ceremonies in a beautiful environment. We make a priority of ensuring that each individual feels safe and cared for throughout the process. Every ceremony is unique, woven with song, prayer, ritual and integrative practices honouring the power of these great teachers.
It is our great privilege to treat each person with utmost care and love considering all as both our children and teachers.
Rooted Waters stands out within the Iboga/Ibogaine world. Our dedication to truth and the ancient ways are clear. We do not play recorded music during ceremonies – We sing and play live instruments that are in tune with the space and each individual. Every moment is ceremony and prayer.
Our post ceremony support is filled with angelic essence. Our team is deeply caring and attentive leaving you in a state of deep relaxation and openness to fully dive into your process.
We also provide two somatic bodywork sessions on the days after ceremony while medicine is still active in your system. This allows for a profound somatic opening and healing.
Instantly there is a sense of being part of the family. We welcome you and treat you as our brothers and sisters through our time together.

September 20, 2026 at 12:59 pmGame changer! I have had many years of experience in and out of both the NA and AA rooms of recovery. In AA they talk about seeing life through a new pair glasses to describe the change of ones spiritual condition. I, personally, did not have that experience via working the 12 steps, but I finally see what that feels like now.
I was skeptical about Iboga and the traditional approach, being that we are not in Africa, so how can it be traditional? Obviously Dimitri and Coco are blessed with a gift and bring the spirit of Iboga wherever they go. Peace, love, acceptance and understanding are at the forefront of my being since the ceremony. It felt like I was swept up and embraced by an Angle. Tears come to my eyes as I still feel that unconditional love for myself that cancelled all the reasons, I had created in my mind, for me to loathe myself. Its like that never happened. There is now no trace of resentment in my heart. I feel free! Free to love and to be loved. Now the craving for drugs, drinking, pigging out and puking or hurting myself in any way, seem foreign to me. Amazing Medicine!!
I am so grateful to the team of Rooted Waters. You guys are awesome and forever in my heart.
Thank you:)

September 17, 2026 at 6:57 pmI had an incredibly positive experience at this iboga retreat in the Cowichan Valley. The setting was peaceful and beautiful, and I felt genuinely supported and cared for throughout the entire process. The experience was deeply meaningful for me, and I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and with a renewed sense of clarity. I’m very grateful to Dimitri for creating such a welcoming and supportive environment.
