Origen Eco Resort

Antioquia, Colombia

Origen EcoResort is a dedicated retreat center just one hour outside of Medellin. Set on beautiful and sacred land, our purpose is heal and teach people. People who come here will reconnect with the power of earth and spirits, surrounded by the abundant diversity and magic here.

Retreats are facilitated by the great Elders and Taitas of Colombia, according the rules and traditions set forth by the ancestors.

All ceremonies are held in our riverside Maloka, where you will feel the energy of the rocks, river and trees. You will have your own hammock or mat.

Accommodations are in our main guest house or our eco-glamping tents all with shared bathrooms with hot water showers. Meals are included, menus follow the shamanic diet and a large percentage of your food is grown right here on our land.

The EcoResort is an unspoilt tropical paradise, we are surrounded by exotic birds, beautiful flowers, a crystalline river, abundant fruits.

I have attended several retreats hosted by Origen, and each one has been life changing. Everything is extremely well prepared, designed to provide you with the most powerful experience and yet your safety and comfort are also taken into important consideration. I can’t say enough good things about this organization and these retreats!

The Origen resort offers a beautiful natural environment, supportive community, and powerful healing medicine. The retreat I participated in last month was a deep and meaningful personal growth experience.

Although only an hour from city, the ceremonies had a distinct “jungle feel”, thanks to the gorgeous riverside location of the open-air maloka in a tropical paradise, and the pure energy of the medicine brought directly from the jungle.

The ceremonies were hosted by respected elders from the Putumayo region of Colombia. The Taita worked with both his wife and son during the ceremonies, creating a comforting familial environment with balanced masculine and feminine energies.

The retreat was authentic and supportive, allowing participants to connect with nature and enter into deep personal healing and growth processes. A beautiful place to experience the sacred power of ayahuasca!

This resort is so special. I recently attended a weekend retreat here presided over by the wonderful Taita Universario and his family.

Apart from being a beautiful peaceful property, you can feel the powerful spiritual presence of this place.

The food provided was delicious and plentiful as well as being appropriate for the ceremony itself.

There are several wonderful locations to sit and enjoy the surrounding nature, from bird watching on the porch to sitting by or swimming in the fresh water river and swimming holes.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
