Oka Wasi is an Amazonian shamanic healing center founded by Yann Rivière. The center is located in Peru near the city of Tarapoto, between the Andean foothills and the Amazon rainforest. Throughout the year we offer retreats of Ayahuasca and diets with master plants under the guidance of Shipibo healers. Oka Wasi is a place for retreats, healing, as well as for learning about this path.

Our two-week Ayahuasca retreats offers the opportunity to experience the Amazonian traditional medicine, the diet with master plants, the sacred plants of Ayahuasca, San Pedro, as well as other holistic healing modalities such as yoga and meditation. These traditions and practices are all about reconnecting the soul, the mind and the body, and and bring a better understanding of oneself.

Retreats are supervised by experienced and recognized shamans, as well as other certified practitioners, offering an ideal setting to initiate deep and lasting changes in the personal development of each participant. We designed our retreats in a way that our guests feel safe, comfortable and taken care of regarding the details of their time spent here with us. From the moment of your arrival to Tarapoto Airport, we will take care of the rest of your trip, including all transportation and accommodation.

Through 6 ceremonies of Ayahuasca, you’ll receive healing chants (ikaros) from the healers helping you to unblock your physical, emotional and spiritual energies, deepening though the process of your diet. The sacred use of tobacco, perfumes and flower baths will help you find healing and a different overlook. Yoga sessions and meditations will support the conscious expansion of the self by cultivating awareness, acceptance and tranquility. Regular group discussions and individual counseling will be helpful in sharing the details of the process, from insights, dreams to any difficulties that may arise, as well as discussing the various aspects of traditional medicine. The retreat will end with a San Pedro ceremony, to integrate and strengthen the work that has been carried out.

We also propose personnalized retreats for deeper healing and apprenticeship processes.

My wife and I had never touched psychedelics, so our strong desire to explore the trauma of our daughter’s death and expand our spiritual understanding was a bit of a conundrum for us. Yann and Zsuzsi at Oka Wasi took us in for personal treatment that did not disappoint. We now have lifelong friends and deep respect for a shaman whose intuition and skill left us with tangible signs of deep healing and guidance for us and our family. We cannot say enough for the safe (so important!), welcoming, and stunningly beautiful world they’re sharing selflessly with the world. We love you.
