It is the teachings of the Buddha that provides Lotus Vine Journeys with the ethical grounding and overall framework for each retreat. We base our retreats on the outskirts of Tarapoto, Peruat the Puma Rinri Amazon Lodge. It’s an award winning, eco-lodge located one hour from Lima by plane. It’s an area of true ecological and geographical beauty in the mountain rainforest that flow into the Amazon. This spectacular region offers stunning views, waterfalls, breezes and colorful sunsets. September 30, 2018 at 10:35 pmLotus Vine Journeys is the best thing that has ever happened to me!
It is the most beautiful place with the most beautiful people. The facilitators are outstanding and spring is a phenomenal teacher. The care they provide to each individual is as sensitive as I have ever experienced. Safety and healing are the upmost importance at all times. The environment is special with light and divine spirits.
PumaRinri provides the most amazing scenery and accommodations. The rooms are clean and made of 100% earth materials including hardwood flooring, white adobe walls, and straw woven ceilings. Mosaic tile in the shower and sink makes the bathrooms super nice.
The food is so amazing oh my goodness it is so delicious. I cannot stop thinking about how amazing it makes me feel.
Incredible teachings using yoga and meditation alongside a blueprint to concentration in the present moment as a way to increased consciousness. Amplified by the master plant catalyst Ayahuasca.
Deep healing takes place here. I cannot wait to go back!

September 24, 2018 at 8:45 pmI just returned back to my home in Tokyo, Japan after spending two absolutely incredible weeks on an Ayahuasca retreat with Lotus Vine Journeys in Tarapoto. Wow. What an experience it was! Words truly can not adequately describe what I’m feeling right now. There are retreat centers… and then there’s Lotus Vine. The latter is at a whole different level in every possible way. I know, because I’ve been to other retreat centers in Peru. While there are some good ones out there, none come close to the level of professionalism, comfort, care, love, insight and community as Lotus Vine. And none, in my opinion, come close to Lotus Vine in terms of the quality of facilitation and support in terms of how the medicine ceremonies are conducted.
My experience was truly magical. I originally chose Lotus Vine as I was curious about the Buddhist philosophy underlying the retreat. Having a philosophy such as this in which to place your Ayahuasca journey in perspective is both incredibly powerful and helpful at the same time. On the matter of ceremony, the maestro shaman who conducted the ceremonies was amazing. His humility and unassuming nature outside of ceremony was complemented by his amazingly powerful and compassionate presence during ceremony.
No review of Lotus Vine would be complete without recognition of the tremendous support from Spring Warsham and her two amazing assistants Janeth and Yugo. In my opinion, what truly separates Lotus Vine from any other retreat are these three angels. Spring is a warrior. I can’t describe just how amazing she is. She exemplifies everything you could hope for in a retreat facilitator – compassion, knowledge, love, attention, presence and power. Yugo and Janeth are also legends. Always on hand to provide support. Their ability to intuitively know for who, where and when support was needed was remarkable. For me, their presence during ceremony provided a level of stability and calm that allowed me to let go and confidently flow wherever the medicine invited me to go. I still recall one evening after ceremony how all three of them lovingly guided me back to my room. They were always on hand, before, during and after ceremony to support you in any way you needed.
There was so much love, music, singing and joy throughout ceremony that I began to worry about how I would ever re-integrate back into my ‘normal’ life. Fortunately, integrating your experience and newly gained insights from ceremony back into your life at home is something Lotus Vine take very seriously. Years of experience have allowed Lotus Vine to prepare you for your return home after retreat but more importantly to ensure that the healing work you did on the retreat, and the discoveries and progress made, continues long after you return home. I truly can’t wait to be there again soon. So much so in fact that I am now considering bringing my entire company staff along with me! I can’t think of a better investment in my people than giving them the opportunity to learn, heal and empower themselves to a degree they will never have thought possible.

August 14, 2018 at 4:30 pmThe entire experience at Lotus Vine was incredible. Impossible to fully capture in words how profound and far-reaching the experience was.
I chose this retreat because it combined the study of the Dharma with shamanism and the use of plant medicine—as well as the fact that Spring is a renowned Buddhist/meditation teacher and someone who has really spent time in the Amazon, diving deep into this tradition to heal herself and others. My expectations were more than met…
Spring is compassionate, knowledgeable, intuitive, strong, and wise. A powerful light and teacher who embodies the fierce heart her book describes. She has assembled a gifted team, each of whom was committed to helping us heal and to supporting us on our journeys. Janeth is one of the most caring people I have ever met; she was always there to make sure all the details were in place and that we were well cared for. I experienced some of the most profound compassion I have ever received from Yugo during two of my more challenging ceremonies. It was a gift. Our Shipibo maestro, Adrianno, was powerful, kind, and wise; coming from a lineage of healers, he has a deep understanding of the medicine and was proud to share his tradition to help heal others.
The location was dreamy—a verdant paradise. The rooms had expansive views of the jungle and overlooked a tributary of the Amazon. There was a freshwater spring where we took flower baths on ceremony days. The daily yoga was lead by a beautiful soul and talented yogi. The cuisine was fresh and creative, which was refreshing given the restricted diet that accompanies the use of ayahuasca. There was a cacao-avocado-banana pudding that was addictive and yet still healthy…
Taking ayahuasca is necessarily a vulnerable experience—knowing you’re in able, safe hands of knowledgeable guides is hugely beneficial. It was also a boon that the other participants were brave, caring, open-minded individuals, from different backgrounds and parts of the world. Everyone was supportive and committed to the process.
It was a beautiful, powerful experience that is still unfolding for me in many ways, and I couldn’t recommend this wonderful group of healers or this special place more highly. So much gratitude to the Lotus Vine family!

August 7, 2018 at 10:13 amLotus Vine Journeys offers a15-day retreat that will genuinely save a broken person’s life. As a child, I was subjected to horrific abuse from both of my parents, leaving me with PTSD, poor sleeping habits, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, constant bodily pain and an overall shame and disliked for myself. I prayed to be woken, given a new start, wipe the slate clean, and I was lead to LVJ. Just before going for Peru, I was struggling to find the energy to walk around my neighborhood; now I can do lapse with ease. No matter how many self-help books I read or how often I went to church and prayed – the beautiful and inspiring words only provided temporary relief. Under the right conditions- loving people administering Ayahuasca gets to the deepest regions of your brain where permanent changes occur that are genuinely life-changing in the most beautiful way. I received a complete and total reset, and I’m so grateful for this healing. If you want to heal in loving-hands go to Lotus Vine Journeys.
