Ikara Iboga Retreat Centre

Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Iboga is a spirit that connect you directly to your soul. Iboga, being a root, takes you inward so that you can learn to live in this physical reality with joy and spontaneity, through a direct connection to your soul. Iboga is not a medicine, it is you, it provides a conduit to your soul and through this connection it can heal all physical, emotional and spiritual maladies. This is because we live in heaven on earth where thoughts create our experience, Iboga shows you this. It is intense but when used in a true traditional context, as taught by the first national people, the Babongo, it allows you to heal yourself. It is a powerful tool for spiritual advancement and has applications to all facets of LIFE!

We are the only people from the west that have been trained with the Babongo People in one of the original branches of Bwete – called Miobe. The Iboga Ceremony we offer is called “Ghieno A Nziambe” which translates as God’s Mirror From God’s mirror you can see and discover aspects of oneself and gain a new understanding of the creation of all

IBOGA´s healing capacities are universal. Become awareness in totality, without separation. Dissolve the illusions which causes dissension in your life. See your Self unite with TETA NZAMBE (God) consciously through a MIOBE IBOGA retreat in Costa Rica.

Our NGANGA NA SOMBA, KUMA BWENZE is trained by King ADUMANGANA, his spiritual father, in one of the original branches of BWETE called MIOBE. MIOBE is a healing branch and it is devoted to traditional medicine from the forest. It is mainly practiced by the Babongo, Tsogho and Apindji peoples and it has its origins in the province of Ngounié. The MIOBE NGANGA helps restores the physical and psychic health of man through a series of treatments. It is one of the oldest and more traditional branches of BWETE and close to the mother branch of ”DISUMBA DI MUO NA BATA”. KUMA BWENZE is the only person from the west that has been welcomed into the MIOBE branch of BWETE in the traditional Babongo provinces..

Ikara is the representative for the NGO EBOTA A MAGHANGA which is the cornerstone of The Universal Village of God – MBOKA A NZAMBE and its traditional hospital Le Don de Vie (The Gift of Life Hospital ) in the west.

When you participate in Iboga treatment here at Ikara, which is your adopted introduction to mind and the beginning of liberation, you directly contribute to our spiritual brothers and sisters in Mboka A Nzambe Gabon who are composed of lovers of culture and natural medicine. Ebota A Maghanga, with support from ikara, works towards sustainability of indigenous knowledge for future generations and for a better world built on the brotherhood of man.

When seeking an Iboga Retreat, seek a place where your identity can become. The identity for an Iboga retreat centre is an individualised idea, and the offering is one of encouragement towards the individual’s identity. Do not give your individual vision away and become awash in the offerings that can be collectively reiterated in popular culture today. Become yourself through Iboga. Identity is about you. Seek your identity. The mechanics are far deeper than they seem.

Our retreats are 5 days and 4 nights and are $2500USD all inclusive. This includes airport transfers, food, accommodation (Private room), 24/7 care, counseling, spiritual cleanse using plants from Africa, traditional steam, for purification. Two Inoga Ceremonies and optional spoons of Iboga in between cermonies for those that wish to stay connected.

Would not recommend. They force you to pay $300 extra if you’re not traveling with family/friends. Every time I message them they send really weird cryptic messages saying how I might not be worthy enough for healing. I’m 37, in shape, no mental illnesses other than depression I’m trying to work on since my little brother took his life years ago. While I’m not addicted to heroine or any hard drugs, I still thought I could go and work on the immense trauma I’ve had in my life. I feel like I’ve been going in circles for a decade now. I’m not suicidal or anything crazy either… I’m just not sure why they’re being so weird.
