Our Path
At Flower of life Ayahuasca Healing Center, we hold a sacred space for those who feel called to turn inward, heal the heart, and remember who they truly are. Our purpose is to support deep processes of transformation, guiding each person along a path of reconnection with their inner truth, the wisdom of nature, and the calling of the soul.
We are located three hours from Iquitos, in a remote and blessed corner of the Peruvian Amazon near the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Surrounded by the vastness of the jungle, the songs of birds, and the living energy of the river, our center offers the ideal setting to release the noise of the outside world and enter into communion with the unseen, the natural, and the sacred.
We offer medicinal plant diet retreats of 5, 8, and 14 days, as well as a 28-day transformational program and a six-week course in Sacred Shamanism and Curanderismo. Each of these paths has been created with love, respect, and deep intention to support authentic processes of healing, learning, and spiritual awakening.
During their stay, participants may take part in Ayahuasca and San Pedro ceremonies guided by Shipibo healers from the Amazon, as well as Kambo sessions and master plant diets. Our programs also include floral aromatherapy baths, medicinal plant steam baths, daily herbal remedies, and jungle excursions, all thoughtfully woven together to nourish the body, cleanse the spirit, and open the heart.
Flower of life Ayahuasca healing center was founded and is lovingly held by a Peruvian woman who deeply believes in the healing power of medicinal plants and in the ancestral wisdom that lives within the jungle. From this feminine, loving, and protective vision, a safe, intimate, and welcoming space has been created where each visitor can feel held, cared for, and truly supported.
The Medicine
Our Ayahuasca is prepared exclusively with the Ayahuasca vine and Chacruna leaf, honoring the purity and tradition of this sacred medicine. Each preparation is made with respect, prayer, and intention, with the understanding that this is not simply a plant medicine, but a living consciousness that teaches, reveals, and transforms.
As one of the few Ayahuasca centers led by a woman, we deeply honor the feminine spirit of Mother Ayahuasca. We believe in her loving strength, in her ability to guide with both firmness and tenderness, and in her power to help us remember our sensitivity, our truth, and our connection to life. For us, this feminine presence not only heals, but also awakens and restores balance within the inner world of each being.
The Lodge
Flower of life Ayahuasca Healing Center is located on the banks of the Marañón River, in one of the purest, most pristine, and spiritually powerful regions of the Peruvian Amazon. The closeness of the water offers a silent and profound medicine. Many feel that the river accompanies, cleanses, and supports the healing process in a way that is almost invisible, yet deeply real.
Our lodge was built with inspiration drawn from the architecture of Incan temples. Several female healers who have spent time in this space feel that this land carries an ancient memory, as if it may once have been a sacred ceremonial site. The pyramidal landscape, the power of the surroundings, and the spiritual presence that can be felt here make this place a natural portal for introspection, prayer, and self-discovery.
We understand that working with Ayahuasca can be one of the most intense and revealing experiences of a person’s life. For this reason, we have created a space that embraces this journey with beauty, calm, and care. We offer spacious private cabins with private bathrooms and showers, electricity at night, and small groups of no more than eight participants, allowing for an intimate, comfortable, and deeply personal experience. Our intention is for each person to surrender to the process feeling safe, supported, and at peace.
The Shamans
We work in alignment with the ancient and traditional medicine of the Shipibo people, honoring their lineage, their knowledge, and their sacred relationship with the master plants. Each retreat is held in a small group setting so that every participant can receive close, individualized, and genuine attention.
Our shamans have devoted decades to this path of learning, discipline, and service. Their experience is expressed not only in ceremony, but also in the way they listen, observe, guide, and hold each participant’s process. They are guardians of ancestral wisdom, sharing their knowledge with humility, presence, and respect.
Together with our Shipibo maestras and maestros, we also offer medicinal plant remedies and other traditional supportive tools, such as Mapacho, whenever the process calls for them. Everything is carried out with deep reverence for the medicine and for the soul of every person who arrives in this place.
Activities
Although the retreat invites silence, rest, and introspection, the jungle also reveals itself as a great teacher. To be here is to remember that nature has its own language, its own intelligence, and its own way of healing.
We frequently offer boat rides to swim with pink river dolphins, observe birds in their natural habitat, and explore the Amazon through guided jungle walks. Each journey is an opportunity to open the senses, feel the living presence of the earth, and reconnect with the mystery of creation. It is not uncommon to see sloths in the trees, armadillos along the trail, or nocturnal monkeys accompanying your walk back to your cabin.
We are located within the protected area of Pacaya Samiria. Unlike other places where extensive paths must be cleared deep into the forest, we choose to preserve the jungle in its natural state. We believe that part of the medicine lies precisely in this: allowing nature to remain alive, free, and sacred. Here, every tree, every sound, every sunrise, and every silence becomes part of the healing journey.
We also offer Wi-Fi for those who need to stay connected with loved ones, although many discover upon arriving that the most important connection is the one that awakens within themselves.
We look forward to welcoming you soon, with open hearts, into this space created for healing, remembering, and blossoming.
With Light and Love 💕

February 21, 2026 at 10:58 pmReview: Harmful and Ableist Toward Autistic People with Trauma
Scam Alert! The shamanism school is fake and the shamans running it are unethical!
My experience at this ayahuasca retreat was emotionally damaging and retraumatizing. As a neurodivergent woman with autism and a history of deep emotional trauma, I came seeking healing. Before attending, I explained my needs in detail to the owner, Nancy, and she claimed they would be respected and supported. But when I arrived, that promise was completely broken.
Nancy proved to be a narcissistic individual who lacked compassion and invalidated people experiencing emotional pain. She did not treat me with empathy and instead punished me for being open about my struggles. The staff consistently reacted to my natural autistic behaviors with irritation, judgment, and even yelling. I was scolded and made to feel like a burden for simply existing as I am. I injured myself during the retreat and the staff showed no concern.I fell into the mud a couple of times and nobody offered assistance. No care or concern was shown when I was feeling unwell during the retreat and was scolded for resting on the sofa when I was dealing with severe chronic pain.
During ceremonies, when I began crying as part of the natural healing process triggered by the medicine, they labeled me as disruptive rather than recognizing it as trauma release. They ultimately took the medicine away from me, which caused me severe emotional distress and retraumatization. My autism and trauma were dismissed as “emotional instability,” rather than being understood through a neurodivergent lens.
Alfredo, the head shaman, even scolded me for stimming in the dining area, despite my explanation that I was managing sensory overload. There was no compassion. No effort to accommodate. Instead of a healing space, I found myself in an environment that was deeply ableist, cold, and harmful.
This retreat expects neurodivergent people to behave as if they are neurotypical and punishes them when they cannot. I left feeling worse than when I arrived—more traumatized, more isolated, and deeply disillusioned. Very ableist and not disability friendly!
This place is not safe for people with autism, women, or individuals with severe trauma. It retraumatized me and left emotional scars I am still struggling to recover from. I would not go back or recommend this retreat to others. The shamans are abusive. One of the shaman sexually abused me. Male staff entered my room without my consent especially at night. The shaman announced to all the male guests I was on my menstrual cycle. (Which was embarrassing!) I was so fed up with this place. I tried to leave on my own accord I was chased by the staff into the village, and I was forced onto the boat that they owned and taken back to the city against my own will . That was terrifying! This retreat is dangerous and needs to be shut down. The staff are poorly trained and this retreat lacks proper safety protocols. Please go somewhere else.

October 30, 2024 at 1:30 pmI wholeheartedly recommend the Flower of Ayahuasca Healing Center, a true sanctuary where I found genuine peace amidst nature, supported by an exceptionally friendly staff from the moment we were picked up in Iquitos. Upon arrival, facilitators Augusto and Max offered insightful explanations about the Ayahuasca and San Pedro ceremonies. The shamans, Alfredo and Daniel, are incredibly wise and played a valuable role in my healing journey. The center itself is impeccably clean, and the care we received was filled with genuine warmth and compassion. I am profoundly grateful to everyone involved, and I pray that God blesses our family from the Amazon jungle.

October 28, 2024 at 8:20 amI’m a US citizen who is keen on deep, transformational, inner work. That is exactly what was delivered in my experience at Flower of Life Peru. I did the 8-day Ayahuasca retreat. My time at the lodge was 5-star from start to finish. From the clean dieta served to the ayahuasca process to the San Pedro ceremonies to the teachings to the care that they put into each person at the retreat. I am eternally grateful for my experience. I came out a better person.
I’m grateful for maestro Alfredo y maestra Lucy (our Shipibo shamans). For our helper, Marco, who was there for anything we needed and with so much love. For Graciela who cooked all of the food. For Maclinder who served us. Everyone was a joy to be around. My heart fills with love when I think about the people and my experience.
I loved disconnecting from my electronics and immersing myself in the amazon jungle. This place and the people hold a special place in my heart. I plan to go back.
Thank you, Nancy, for what you have created at Flower of Life Peru! You topped off the experience beautifully with the manifestation practice we held at the end with San Pedro. I love you and appreciate you

October 25, 2024 at 5:17 pmI had an amazing experience at Flower of Life. One that I will remember for the rest of my life! The lodging was very nice with mosquito netting around our beds. The rooms where spacious and very comfortable for it being deep in the Peruvian Amazon. The staff are so welcoming and nice. The food that they fed us was nutritious, tasty and fresh. It was truly a wellness retreat that rejuvenated my soul.
They took great care of us before, during and after the ceremonies. My favorite was the steam flower/plant baths. Those were so great! Not only did I have amazing transformations during the ceremony but we also went on exciting jungle adventures where we got to dive into the jungle and be one with it! We went out on the boat and fished for Piranha’s and then they cooked them up and we ate our catch which was so cool.
I loved every minute of this retreat. I bonded with everyone that was there and I made life-long friends. I can’t recommend it enough. This is the place I would go to if you want to have a true authentic luxurious Ayahuasca experience.

October 18, 2024 at 2:30 pmFrom the first moment I stepped onto the property of Flower of Life, I knew I was embarking on an adventure into the depths of healing like I’ve never experienced before. The property is absolutely gorgeous! Every detail, from the pathway to the main lodge, to the cottages, to the ceremonial malloca is so beautifully appointed and welcoming!
The staff is so in tune with each guest that you feel so cared for during your healing process. From the special dieta to the medicines served, every detail is carefully thought out and presented with great love.
From my very first day at Flower of Life, I began to heal in ways I didn’t even know I needed. Complicated autoimmune disorders brought me to the jungle, Flower of Life and the Shamans that work with Nancy. All I can say is WOW! What western medical doctors could not do – the jungle and these Shamans were able to! I have received healing in so many ways: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually! I have so much gratitude, reverence and respect for the continued work Flower of Life, the staff, Nancy the owner and the Shamans provide to their guests.
What I love so much is the way in which the medicine is served and the constant hovering the Maestro has for his “passengers” that visit Flower of Life. I don’t know if I’ve ever been cared for so thoroughly and lovingly in all the modalities I have ventured down to find my personal healing. I just cannot say enough about the love that exudes from everyone at Flower of Life.
I recommend anyone feeling the call to Ayahuasca, Shamanism and plant medicines to attend a retreat at Flower of Life. You will be amazed at this place, the peacefulness, the ability to unplug and come back to yourself! Healing can be yours!
