Ayahuasca $1,800 - $3,500

Espiritu Pandorita

Golfito, Costa Rica

Pandorita offers deeply transformative, indigenous-led ayahuasca retreats in beautiful Costa Rica!

Nestled in the lush rainforest of the Golfo Dulce region, we host intimate 7 or 11-day journeys guided by experienced female Shipibo shamans and loving facilitators.

Here you have an opportunity to re-write your own story in a place where the possibilities are endless.

Forge your path with the loving support of a land where humans and nature live in harmony, where emails can wait and the dolphins invite you to play, where there are no limits to your power to change your mind and open your heart.

Whether you’re seeking trauma healing, spiritual clarity, or a return to self, this is a space to slow down, feel held, and reconnect with your true nature.

No distractions, no pressure, just the power of the plants, the wisdom of the land, and the safety to explore your inner world.

In this time of global transformation, we believe that empathy, emotional intelligence, and intuitive connection — the gifts of the feminine — are essential to healing ourselves and our planet.

The tender, smooth energies of our shamans harmonize beautifully with the light, magical energy of the land, creating a container that is deeply supportive, gentle, and profoundly powerful.

All women and men are invited to find their inner balance between their masculine and feminine strengths.

What’s Included

Ceremonies

Our retreats now come in two formats: the 11-day retreat with five ayahuasca ceremonies, including a diagnostic first ceremony and a final arkana, and the 7-day retreat with three ceremonies.

The dosage for each ceremony is determined in close communication between the guest, the facilitator, and the Onayabo.

Yoga & Meditation

Our facilitators Montserrat and Aum gently tune into the needs of each group and design supportive practices such as yoga, breathwork, or guided meditation.

These sessions help the body to release tension, strengthen inner balance, and prepare for the deep work of the ceremonies.

In the quiet mornings or late afternoons, participants are invited to reconnect with their breath, stretch and cultivate presence.

Nourishment

On ceremony days, fresh smoothies or soups are prepared to optimally support your experience.

On non-ceremony days, our kitchen serves wholesome dishes that include not only vegan options but also fresh fish, meat, or other protein sources, depending on availability.

Whenever possible, ingredients from our permaculture garden are used in our meals.

Wildlife Tours

Included in your retreat is a boat tour of the Golfo Dulce to spot dolphins, whales, manta rays, and sea turtles, as well as a kayak tour up the Esquina River mangrove swamp to see birds, crocodiles, and more.

Additionally, enjoy a guided snorkeling experience at Puma Beach. Please note that all tours are subject to weather and tide conditions.

Daily Activities

Snorkel equipment, 1- and 2-person kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards are always available to you.

Visit our coral reef, test your balance at high tide, or paddle up the coastline.

We offer well-maintained trails that lead through the national park, providing excellent opportunities for wildlife observation. If you walk all the trails in one go, it takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

Integration

In addition to the nature activities that naturally support integration, both individual and group sessions are offered.

The more information the Onayabo and the faciltators have, the deeper they can carry out their work.

We believe in you, we support you, and we cannot wait to see what you create.

I’ve just spent the last week at Pandorita & I can’t recommend it highly enough. Our flight into Costa Rica was cancelled & we arrived two days late, but Montserrat kept in constant touch and arranged pick up with Aum and Maestra Teolinda. They were waiting with smiles and hugs. Nothing was too much effort to ensure we arrived safely. It’s a 30 minute boat ride in & the view is stunning. Pandorita sits in the jungle within Piedras Blancas National Park. You can hear & see howler monkeys, iguanas, and many birds. The team works hard to care for the land & keep the space beautiful. Every meal cooked by Artemisia & Ruty is delicious and feels like medicine. I am vegan & every meal was perfect. The food is wholesome & often grown on the property. Ceremonies are led by Maestra Teolinda & her daughter Edita, powerful Shipibo healers who surround you with love & care. The medicine is strong & their icaros help you release and heal. Aum & Montserrat ensure you are never unsupported. The healing I received in three ceremonies gave me what 20 years of therapy and previous ceremonies elsewhere could not, all while feeling safe. If you’re looking for an ayahuasca retreat that respects you, the land and the medicine, Pandorita is the place. You won’t regret it.

Beauty, nature, nurture, intrigue, and relaxation filled my week at Pandorita. The staff were helpful, spirited personalities, full of song, care, and laughter. Our shamen worked long and hard in their craft to bring healing, peace, and insight through their powerful icaras (songs). My ayahuasca experiences were both challenging and peaceful by touching my body, mind, and spirit, and offering me a different perspective for events in my life. The retreat keeps a schedule of events, but there are plenty of windows for individual activities or rest. During those 7 days, I loved exploring where the rainforest touched the ocean, and saw dolphins, toucans, iguanas, sting rays, howler monkeys, currasaws, hummingbirds, a huge cane toad, and dozens of beautiful native flowers. Pandorita returns its participants to simplicity, nature, and spirit and that journey is a true blessing to experience.

I went into my experience a bit nervous but with an open mind. Immediately we welcomed with open arms and open hearts by the facilitators Aum and Monserrat. They were always kind, supportive, and open to listening. I felt really well taken care of at Pandorita. The food Artemisia and Rudy made was absolutely amazing. It was colorful, nutrient dense, and easy on my sensitive digestive tract. Julia and Oliver have done a great job caring for the grounds. They make it such a beautiful place to be. Marisol and the volunteers did a lovely job keeping the buildings clean. Everything felt so fresh on a daily basis. The shamans were incredible. I am so honored to have had my ayahuasca experience with Theolinda and Edita. Their voices were beautiful and went through me like a storm shaking up and cleansing what they could during ceremony. I will forever be grateful for this magical place. I will be back.

There are no words to describe my experience at Pandorita. The place is out of this world! The shamans and facilitators are loving, caring and experienced. They are there to assist you throughout your journey and bring as much healing. If you are looking for a deep healing and connecting to nature as you have never before, this is your call! It was incredible to witness the transformation of each participant, being spititual, psicologica and phisical. Thank you everyone for having made my experience at Pandorita a life changing one. ❤️

Pandorita is truly magical, I came here to do Aya for the first time and I’m so thankful that Aum and Montserrat were leading the rereat, their vibes are immaculate- they made everyone feel so safe, seen and welcomed. The group was small and felt like family by the end. The land is literally an untouched rainforest and the bay is where dolphins go to have their babies, we were able to go on the boat and see them up close. Aya put aside, this is a magical place to disconnect from the buzz of life and reconnect with nature. The accommodations are rustic, but it made the whole experience feel more authentic. I enjoyed my experience so much, I will definitely be back.

I recently had the life-changing opportunity to attend an ayahuasca retreat, and I cannot say enough about the incredible experience I had. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the compassionate and knowledgeable team of shamans and facilitators who guided us through this profound journey.

The ceremonies were incredibly powerful, and the medicine was undeniably strong. The traditional icaros sung by the shamans created a deeply immersive and healing atmosphere that allowed me to connect with the medicine on a profound level.

Beyond the ceremonies, the retreat offered a myriad of other activities that allowed me to immerse myself in the stunning natural surroundings. From snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs to kayaking through the serene waters, every moment felt like a true adventure. The jungle walks along the super trails were a highlight, as we were able to spot an array of incredible wildlife, including spider monkeys, capuchins, howler monkeys, tyra, scarlet macaws nesting, toucans, and coatls. It was a breathtaking experience to witness these animals in their natural habitat.

One of the most memorable experiences was the dolphin tour, where we were able to observe the grace and beauty of bottlenose dolphins and sea turtles in their natural environment. Additionally, the mangrove forest tour by kayak provided a unique opportunity to spot crocodiles and a diverse array of bird species, all while surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the mangroves.

Throughout the retreat, the food was exceptional, providing nourishment and sustenance for the profound journey I was undertaking. The meals were not only delicious but also prepared with care and consideration for the overall experience.

Overall, my time at the ayahuasca retreat was truly the journey of a lifetime. The combination of the powerful ceremonies, the nurturing environment created by the shamans and facilitators, and the awe-inspiring natural beauty of the surroundings made for an experience that will stay with me forever. I am immensely grateful for the deep healing and transformation that took place during this retreat, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone seeking a profound and meaningful inner journey.

At Espiritu Pandorita, an idyllic waterfront retreat embraced by the lush wonders of the Amazon, my Ayahuasca workshop unfolded against the backdrop of the calm Pacific Ocean. The convergence of the jungle’s vibrant life and the serene Pacific waters added an extra layer of enchantment to the entire experience.

    **Nature Adventures:**
Snorkeling in crystal-clear waters unveiled the vibrant underwater world, a metaphorical dive into the depths of my own consciousness. Jungle hikes led by knowledgeable guides opened pathways to hidden treasures, revealing the rich biodiversity of the Amazon rainforest. The allure of waterfall swimming and the rhythmic sounds of cascading water became a harmonious backdrop to my personal journey.

    **Marine Marvels:**
Dolphin and whale watching sessions added a maritime enchantment to the experience. Witnessing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat stirred a sense of awe and connectedness with the vastness of the ocean.

    **Aqua Expeditions:**
Kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) allowed me to navigate the tranquil waters, offering moments of introspection as I moved with the gentle flow of the river. Each stroke became a metaphor for the fluidity of life, a lesson mirrored in the rhythmic dance between my paddle and the water.

    **Conservation Connection:**
A visit to the animal rescue center deepened my appreciation for the region’s diverse wildlife. Learning about conservation efforts and witnessing firsthand the dedication to preserving the delicate balance of nature left an indelible mark on my consciousness.

    **Permaculture Paradise:**
The permaculture tour was a journey into sustainable living, showcasing the harmonious coexistence between humans and the environment. The commitment to ecological balance echoed the principles of balance and harmony I sought within myself.

    **Shamanic Presence:**
Guided by Shipibo shamans of profound wisdom, the Ayahuasca ceremonies were elevated to sacred rites. The power of their ikaros, intricate traditional songs, resonated with the heartbeat of the jungle, amplifying the transformative energy of the plant medicine. The shamans’ mastery facilitated a deep connection with the spiritual realm, guiding us through the realms of healing and self-discovery.

In this waterfront haven, Espiritu Pandorita transcends the boundaries of a traditional retreat, offering a unique synthesis of inner and outer exploration. The convergence of the calm Pacific Ocean with the Amazon’s vibrancy creates a sanctuary where the ancient wisdom of Ayahuasca harmonizes with the soothing rhythm of the ocean, fostering a profound journey of healing and self-discovery.

The two facilitators, the male from Germany & the female from Sweden have absolutely no business supporting or aiding in an Aya ceremony. They both have severe trauma wounds & neither have any issues passing them onto the clients whom are coming to heal. The owners lack complete responsibility of what goes on here. It was brought to my attention that they may not be paying their shamans adequately. I also was witness to overdosing clients. The lack of control & protection in the ceremonies was felt strongly. Gigi & Isabelle & Maya are the bright spots at this retreat but this place is in desperate need of a strong experienced leader as a shaman as well as clear, soft managing over the ceremonies, financial transactions over the shipibo items on sale. There were way too many negatives that were not necessary if someone with experience & competence & a huge ol heart was placed in a leadership position here.

We apologize that you were disappointed by the facilitators. We (the owners) do take accountability for what happens at Pandorita – it matters a great deal to us. The facilitators you describe had a great resume/CV, which is why we hired them, but they have since been replaced because they did not meet our standards. From the bottom of our hearts, we are sorry to have not met your expectations. We hope that one day you consider returning and meeting our new staff.

even the journey is pure magic. when approached by boat, a wonderful view of pandorito opens up. the jungle lets no escape and i was immediately in the world of plants. the walks in the jungle let me dive deeper and deeper. swimming in golfito cleared my mind and refreshed my avatar. every animal I met told its own story. if you want to get to know yourself even better and want to cleanse your body and mind, you are in the right place on pandorita. you will leave this place full of energy, nourished and happy. I will come again

I have spent time on this location, and I have spent time with the shamans and facilitators they are working with. This is a pretty great combination, with a good balance of comfort and challenge. The place is so remote, secluded and beautiful, it seems like the perfect cosmos for a journey within. You have the jungle in the back, the gulf in front, the garden in your lap. Nature view, sound and smell all around, so many animals and plants to observe or marvel at. My experience with the maestros has shifted my life in many ways. Their icaros have not only been the starting point for much healing, but they have also opened my senses to a world that is beautiful beyond words and that is ours to experience. During the time I have worked with this group of people from Espiritu Pandorita, I have received acceptance, guidance, confidence and trust in ways that have pushed me on the path that I am very happy to walk on today. I have learned much from the Shipibo as well as from Marquito who will be your first contact and is great at translating between the indigenous and the western perception and between the spiritual and the worldly life. I recall many moments with all of the team members that were full of humor and light heartedness, openness and much joy in the work that they do and in their simple being. Deep work with good medicine in a lovely place with lovely people!
