March 9, 2025 at 4:53 pm• Iquitos alone now has 100s of retreats. After extensive interviews over four months, I chose Dreamglade for an authentic Amazon ayahuasca retreat. The quality of leadership, the expertise of the shamans, the limited group size and homelike setting, and the affordability made it a choice I can say I was very happy, currently adjusting afterwards in Iquitos.
• The humble but passionate ownership of Wade and Clarissa seen was not only as welcoming hosts with a warm and nurturing environment but also as funny, as real and as a couple doing this for years. Wade in particular was seen by us all a gentle but steady hands-on guide, generous in his time , sharing his own mistakes and learnings.
Shamans Raul and Dominga , Shipipo natives with over 40 years of training, led 3 ceremonies in my week there, with profound spiritual depth including hours of icaros (healing songs) mesmerizing, using his ability to channel/communicate with the plant spirits and helping us to attempt the same. Raul’s presence on-site as a community member adds to the sense of safety and connection that we guests felt.Dominga brings a serene and feminine energy to the ceremonies, offering a beautiful contrast to Raul’s powerful icaros. Her limpieza (final cleaning) for me started to breakthrough my intellectual stubborn defenses.
• Unlike other advertise centers which advertised fancier housing, wifi, 24/7 electric etc. Dreamglade’swholesome food, comfortable but simple lake-side setting allowed me to focus on their inner journey without distractions. Some of us “baddies” made the odd evening phone catch up call, with a cell tower nearby, but it is not allowed in the community, and even what we did was discouraged. The retreat’s emphasis on simplicity and authenticity fosters a deeper connection with the natural world , each other, and the steep healing process.
• Dreamglade’s small group size, with a maximum of 9-10 participants per ceremony, allowed personalized attention and creates a sense of community. We have a WhatsApp to continue our insights together: a profound spiritual journey, safe, intimate without breaking the bank.
I did Plant Dietas and Kambo detox Treatments, yin yoga , breathwork by trained teachers Mar(Maread) from County Kerry, and Clara from Argentina, and really loved the sweat lodge for further detoxification with flower baths. Most of the plants are on the 50 acres property about 4 mins drive from Iquitos. Besides the local Shipipo staff, there is a village nearby and good security too/
Paul, the booking and screening man, matched the honesty, clarity, and care of the above. His guidance helps set expectations and provides a sense of security, making the entire process smoother and more reassuring to me and my apprehensive family. One person confided to me that Paul agreed to be available to her concerned mother before and during the retreat—a sweet gesture typical of what I saw drain my time.
• Dreamglade offers an unparalleled Ayahuasca retreat experience, also allowing much booking flexibility, eg any Mon Wed Friday start /stop to the 1 or 2 weeks stay. It exceed your expectations and will leave a lasting impact on my life.

December 1, 2024 at 5:44 pmI recently had the fortunate experience of attending Dreamglade for a one-week retreat, and I can confidently say it was one of the most important journeys of my life. The setting was serene and perfectly conducive to deep introspection, with every detail carefully designed to ensure safety, comfort, and personal growth.
One of the standout aspects of this retreat was the facilitators. They held space with such grace, wisdom, and compassion, guiding us through the ceremonies with care and respect for the medicine and its traditions. I want to give a special shoutout to Mar, whose presence was just deeply compassionate. Mar’s warmth and guidance made a world of difference, helping me navigate some difficult emotional moments. Wade and Clarissa as well were full of support as well and their ability to connect on such a personal level and provide reassurance was invaluable to a lot of the guests.
If you are considering an ayahuasca retreat, I cannot recommend this one highly enough. The combination of experienced facilitators, sacred ceremonies led by powerful shamans, and a supportive community made this an experience I will carry with me forever. Thank you to everyone involved for creating such a life-changing journey.

October 24, 2024 at 9:05 pmI would really recommend Dreamglade man. Small centre maybe 30-40 minutes on the 4×4 out from Iquitos. Not too far away, but far enough that you are completely in the jungle with absolutely zero light pollution or any interruption to the insane nature there. The price is sooo good for the quality you are getting. 165 euro per night for a private tambo (personal hut). The set up is top class there, very comfortable but nothing too fancy which is what you really want for this experience and almost everything made from natural materials. The food was really good considering no salt etc allowed. The group sizes are small. There was 8 of us there but I think 9 is the max, so it was a really nice to get to know everyone so well and have such brilliant intimate share circles the next day after the ceremonies. There is also yoga, holotropic breathwork sessions, walks in the jungle if you want, sauna, dieta and Kambo options and perfect places to chill out and contemplate it all. But the thing that stands out to me the most is the people running it. It is english speaking. The owners Wade and Clarissa and the facilitator Maura were fantastic. Checking in, there if you needed them, and such beautiful words of wisdom that were really important when you were in the depths of it. Really felt like I could talk to them about absolutely anything, including my deepest insecurities. And also had such a laugh with them as well. And last but not least is the shamans Raul and Dominga. Raul’s presence and voice for the Icaros is one of the most powerful things I have ever experienced. And the contrasting sweetness of Dominga’s Icaros was crazy to experience. It was my first time doing Ayahuasca and I didn’t know anyone else personally that did it, so I was just going off good reviews online and hoping for the best, and it just so happened I hit the jackpot with this place and changed my life. Will be forever grateful for the work they are doing here! DM me if you need any further details.

October 21, 2024 at 8:47 amThis was a wonderful stay at Dreamglade center.
I stayed 2 weeks, it was my first time taking Ayahuasca. I didn’t know what to expect. I will try to give you an impression of my stay, knowing very much that my words cannot truly depict what I felt there.
I choose this place from the online reviews, aiming to find a place which is safe, confortable and close to nature.
And I got served.
Our hosts Wade and Clarissa were very welcoming, kind and joyful. They are always there, from my pickup at my hotel in Iquitos to my come back to civilization. They are listening, helpful and kind. When I needed something, I just had to ask. They make sure everything is all right with the guests. I loved the meals with them, Wade always has a story to tell. He is like this character in the movie “Big Fish” and everybody loved to hear a tale from him. Both of them really brought their bright energy in the place and the moments spent with them were a bliss.
Lidia and Raul, our curanderos, enlightened the night with their beautiful chants, the icaros, singing non-stop during the whole ceremony. I felt very protected during the whole night and after. Their cleansing songs help me so much, I felt like my body was ripped from all the dark energies, renewed, cleansed. Their songs still resonate strongly in my mind as beacon of loving light, when I think about it.
Mair was the facilitator and workshop teacher. She animated the Yin yoga and breath work workshop that we had from Monday to Friday. With her joyfulness and her pretty Irish accent, she was along side us for the whole time, checking on us and joking a lot. She was way more than just a facilitator/teacher. She was the caring ear you want to talk to when things were intense. And she welcomed everything with kindness and wisdom. She is a really good and caring person and I am so glad I could live this retreat with her by my side.
The place itself is wonderful. It is surrounded by nature and you hear the animals day and night. Owls, frogs, crickets, there are all there to immerse yourself in nature. My private tamboo was walled with mosquito-net and nothing else, keeping me safe but also reducing the separation from the outside. I could lay on my hamac, do some writing at my desk or rest on my bed, equipped with a confortable and brand new mat.
The whole area is truly beautiful, with a nice pond in the middle to swim and relax. Everything is very clean, cleaned every morning. The main house where we take our meals, is a nice place to stay inside, maybe to read a book from the library.
There is also a sauna (one of the reason I chose the place) that you can use each ceremony day.
You can take plant dieta. During the dieta you eat fresh foods with no salt, no oil. They last 5 days and you can take a rest during the weekends and eat a bit of salt and oil. Trust me, it is a relief ! If you continue with another dieta, you may take a new plant, more powerful. At first I was not sure about it, but I could tell after the first 5 days that my mind was more focused, calm and clear.
Of course I loved my stay and I recommend it to anyone who wants to take a retreat. This journey is deep, meaningful, and if you want all the good conditions to undertake it, Dreamglade is the perfect spot to do it.

October 20, 2024 at 9:16 amWent during September 2024 to Dreamglade and it was my second visit to the center / last time I went during September 2023.
The place is very beautiful and very well kept, clean and each month they repaint and turn over every corner of the center because of humidity. Met very nice people there and the all over ambience was pleasant. Changes have taken place one of the sweet animals „Ella“ left earth and I keep her memorie with the warmest feelings in my heart. The owners Clarissa and Wade are big animal lovers and take care of all sort op species inclusive humans 🙂 Theirs staff is wonderful and truly sweet and pleasant people and last but not least the two Curanderos are so precious to the center and all the people involved. To keept in mind it is the jungle where this center is placed and jungle life is part of the journey.
