January 26, 2026 at 6:13 pmI stayed in Dreamglade after a lot of research on retreat centres, as I knew that the “set and setting” are extremely important in terms of the experience to be expected. The reviews convinced me that this was the place I should go to, and so I want to contribute my own review as well.
The journey to Dreamglade begins with a set of screening questions as certain medications, health conditions and habits can cause dangerous side effects. Any respectable retreat centre should prescreen visitors and Paul at Dreamglade does that conscientiously.
The setting part is completely taken care of. Dreamglade is in the jungle (they picked you up in Iquitos and take you there in a car), there is little to no reception and electricity only works for a few hours a day – no distractions, just nature to keep you grounded. I woke up with and went to sleep with the sun each day in a small hut with a comfortable bed with mosquito nets. I had the best sleep ever, felt like I was sleeping outside but I was still protected from the elements and had all the comfort I needed.
The food is all fresh fruits and oatmeal or soup (after ceremony nights (soup for breakfast weirded me out at first, but it was just what I needed)) for breakfast and fresh vegetables and rice, chickpeas, beans for lunch and dinner. Some people struggled with the lack of spices (required by the medicine), I loved the food.
The set part is largely up to you, but the people running the centre will do their best to assist you with that one as well. They are all very interested in helping visitors as much as they can, and I still feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude when I think of any of them. Wade and Clarissa lead the share circles and take care of the logistics of running the centre, while the facilitators, hold breathwork, yoga and cacao ceremonies. I had very impactful conversations with all of them. They all have a – for me – rather uncanny ability to read people.
The shamans are out of this world. I will never forget their ceremonies, their singing, their presence. I personally am not a very spiritual person and did not have the type of visions and experiences some people reported. But I did feel the shamans’ presence, their attention to me in the pitch black darkness, and their songs and spirit-chasing practices directed at me when I needed it and this feeling of being protected, of having someone watch over me comforted me and elevated my experience. I am very grateful that I had the chance to attend ceremonies that felt both ancient and authentic and which cut straight to the very essence of the human condition.
After each ceremony night, in the morning we had share circles which were the favourite parts of my stay there. Listening to nine people from all walks of life and from various countries share their visions and see them open up about personal issues that they have been dealing with was a transformative experience that will stay with me for a long time.
I only stayed for three ceremonies, because I wanted to test it out how I would feel. If you have some kind of condition that traditional medicine is unable to treat, or you feel somehow stuck in your life, and you can afford it, I definitely recommend staying for six ceremonies. The first ceremony is meant to open you and the doors of perception up and the last ceremony is there to integrate everything that you learned during your stay and prepare you for the outside world. With six ceremonies that leaves four ceremonies of solid inner work that should take you very far along the way of healing.
As for me, the true healing came during integration, weeks, months after the retreat, when I realized and fixed my unhealthy coping mechanisms, thought patterns and social dynamics. My cohort organizes regular integration zoom calls which we use as online share circles that solidify these realizations and help me see them in perspective.
I think with the medicine offered here, it is very important to participate in authentic ceremonies to get the most out of it and in my opinion, Dreamglade provides just that.

January 26, 2026 at 12:46 pmI loved my time at Dreamglade! All of the facilitators were so attentive, helpful and completely present.
I was super nervous going into the first ceremony but Wade was able to talk to us all before and give us comfort and confidence that this experience would be exactly what it needed to be. He was right.
While my Ayahuasca visions weren’t particularly potent, I did come away with a deeper connection to nature and the earth around us. My mood was changed drastically from being low and lost going into Dreamglade, to vibrant and excited in the weeks afterwards.
I was emailed by Paul a few weeks after my experience at Dreamglade and he was checking in on me to see how my integration was going. I thought this was a really thoughtful touch.
I intend to return to Dreamglade when the time is right

January 26, 2026 at 12:42 pmDreamglade is one of the most beautiful and transformative places I’ve ever been, and returning for a second time only deepened my appreciation for what Wade, Clarisa, and their team have created. The retreat sits right in the heart of the jungle, surrounded on every side by untouched nature. Each morning we watched blue morpho butterflies drift through the trees, listened to countless birds calling, and saw animals that live on the property as naturally as we did. Simply being held by that environment is healing in itself.
The space is intentionally designed for solitude, reflection, and the inward journey—while still offering plenty of opportunities to connect with other guests if you’re looking for community. The schedule that Wade and Clarisa have crafted strikes the perfect balance between structure and spaciousness. There is time to rest, time to integrate, and time to prepare. Their suggestion to bring books, journals, and anything that helps you reflect during downtime is spot-on; those quiet hours became some of the most meaningful parts of the retreat for us.
The amenities and offerings at Dreamglade far exceed what we expected. The meals are as delicious as an ayahuasca diet can be, always plentiful and nourishing. The tambos are impeccably clean, and the staff works tirelessly to care for the walkways, the bathrooms, and every shared space—everything is always spotless. Yoga and breathwork are included for everyone and taught with such clarity and care that they become the perfect complement to ceremony work. The sauna is a wonderful way to prepare the body before ceremonies, and the floral baths the morning after are grounding, gentle, and deeply restorative.
Wade and Clarisa are two of the warmest, most genuine people we’ve met. They make it clear from the moment you arrive that you are seen, supported, and held every step of the way. The morning share circles are one of the highlights for us—Wade and Clarisa guide them with so much insight, compassion, and presence. It’s where so much of the healing starts to integrate. The rest of the staff is equally kind and attentive; no matter who we speak with, we feel welcomed and cared for. In-ceremony, the facilitators are extraordinary. With smaller groups and a high facilitator-to-guest ratio, we never once felt unseen or uncertain. Their presence feels almost angelic—a support that is hard to put into words but impossible to forget.
The shamans—Raul and Dominga—are incredibly powerful healers. Their work has brought profound, lasting changes into both of our lives. Each ceremony has been one of the most meaningful spiritual experiences we’ve ever had, and the healing continues long after we return home. Dreamglade provides a loving, grounded container for deep transformation, and we are forever grateful for what we have received there.
Months after we’d left, we went through an intense period of personal challenge as we continued working through the healing that ayahuasca had opened for us. During that time, Paul became an invaluable source of support. He offered grounded insights, compassionate guidance, and practical tools that helped us navigate some very difficult internal terrain and come out the other side with greater clarity and strength. His presence and wisdom extended the healing we began at Dreamglade in a way that we are deeply grateful for.
For anyone seeking genuine healing, spiritual growth, and a place where the jungle, the medicine, and the people all work together in harmony—Dreamglade is a rare and beautiful gift. We cannot recommend it enough.

January 26, 2026 at 12:41 pmDreamglade is a truly special place — a peaceful sanctuary in the heart of the jungle that offers much more than just an ayahuasca retreat. The ceremonies are held with deep care, and the facilitators bring wisdom, warmth, and true presence to every part of the experience.
There’s a powerful energy here that allows for profound healing and deep connection — both within yourself and with others. I left feeling lighter, more grounded, and full of gratitude.
A huge thank you from the heart to Wade, Clarisa, Mair, Clari, Raul, and Dominga. Your kindness and guidance meant so much.
If you feel the call, I can’t recommend Dreamglade enough. It’s the kind of place that will stay with you long after you leave
