Arcana was created out of Mitchell and Alex’s desire to provide safe access to a variety of sacred psychedelic medicines without the pitfalls of such experiences that can leave people feeling more confused and unsupported than when they arrived! To help every individual who crosses our path reclaim their own power and feel whole again.
Our flagship experience, the A Return to Self Ayahuasca Immersive, creates a profound opportunity to access the deeply healing properties of Ayahuasca and other plants within an intimate small group container. (16 participants maximum) This comprehensive program harnesses the power of community, preparation, and intentionality to bring the journeyer (that’s YOU) true, sustainable change within your life.
Clients in the past have reported healing ailments like anxiety, chronic depression, fatigue, lack of motivation, as well as finding deep and lasting clarity on what to do NEXT in their lives.
All participants who embark upon this immersive psychedelic experience are supported with:
• A 14-day online “Preparing for Plant Medicines” course including video modules and worksheets to make sure you arrive at the Ayahuasca center feeling fully prepared with the tools to succeed.
• Multiple group calls before the retreat to get to know and feel safe with the other attendees.
• The support of two expert facilitators (Alex & Mitchell) with a combined 20 years of psychedelic experience being present as support throughout the entire journey.
• A 14-day online “Integrating Plant Medicines” course including video modules and worksheets to make sure the lessons from the journey actually cause a SHIFT in your life.
• Multiple group calls after the retreat to help understand and integrate your experience.
All of this is in addition to the team of Master Shipibo Healers present at the Ayahuasca center, holding the sacred space and serving the magical medicines of Ayahuasca, Huachuma (San Pedro), and Shamburi. The sacred space within the Amazon Jungle of Peru is a fertile container perfectly constructed for massive transformations.
Participants enter the Immersive in various stages of their own healing, but they emerge from the Immersive with a network of supportive community, new tools to tackle their life, shifted perspectives, and a refreshed drive to live as their fullest, most authentic self.

A full Return to Self Immersive experience happens in a private community group container with 7 (or 14) days spent in person in the Amazon jungles of Peru and 4 weeks of online community connection, educational content modules, and direct interaction with your facilitators Alex and Mitchell. We begin the journey with two weeks of preparation for the 7 days in-person in Peru and follow up with two weeks of integration post the experience in Peru. Totaling 5 weeks of immersing oneself in deep healing, connecting with enlightening community, and educating oneself on the journey of self-healing and development.
Two weeks of online preparation leading up to Peru includes:
• Over six hours of video and content modules teaching practices to prepare you fully for your medicine journeys and to attain greater impact and healing. Content teaching modalities like: Internal Family Systems, Journaling, Meditation, Breathwork, Dream Interpretation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other positive mental psychology techniques. (Lifetime access to course materials)
• Two preparation group calls for sharing, exploring intentions, learning, and answering questions with our private group attending this immersive experience; led by facilitators Mitchell & Alex
• Private WhatsApp group channel for this Immersive where guests can get questions answered by Mitchell and Alex, connect with your fellow immersive attendees, explore community engagement prompts over the weeks, and stay up to date on all relevant information.
The seven days in-person in Peru includes:
• Three Ceremonies with Ayahuasca and/Shamburi; led by a team of Master Shipibo Healers (with support from Mitchell and Alex)
• Private ‘Tambos’ (small huts) for every guest
• Vapor baths (ceremonial plant sweat bath)
• Specialized plant Dieta for each individual prescribed by the Maestra on Day 1 to assist with their specific ailments
• 1-on-1 support with both Alex and Mitchell before, during, and after the retreat to insure full preparation and integration of experiences
• Three meals per day in the traditional Shipibo dieta
• (Optional) Huachuma Ceremony on Saturday (additional cost applies)
Two weeks of online integration post-Peru experience includes:
• Over six hours of video and content modules teaching practices to help you fully integrate your medicine journeys, helping you understand your experiences and bring them home to help sustain the healing and insights gathered in Peru to bring lasting transformations into your daily life.
• Two integration group calls for sharing experiences, learning integration, and answering questions with our private group attending this immersive experience; led by facilitators Mitchell & Alex

Master Shipibo Practitioners:
Maestra Estela – The founder and owner of the Shipibo healing center. Raised by her grandparents who were both shamans and healers, she went on to open the only center owned and operated by a female shaman in the Amazon. As a child, she was introduced to medicinal plants and had her first encounter with Ayahuasca at the age of 14. With more than 25 years of experience in Shipibo medicine since being initiated by her grandfather, Maestra Estela has reached renown in the Amazon for being truly a master curandera.
Maestro Guillermo – First exposed to learning about the art of Shipibo plant-medicine at the age of 12. At 18, he began to work with Ayahuasca and started his training as a shaman, now with over 19 years of experience working in Shipibo healing centers. His decades of training and experience have given him the energy and strength to work with all those who come looking for physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Other Shamans: Maestro Roldan, Maestro Daniel, Maestro Tsumo, and Maestro Jaco are all other shamans who work in ceremony with participants, depending on the day there may be 3 – 5 Shamans on hand in a single ceremony tending our private group.

Becoming my own healer was really important to me because I wanted to overcome the depression and anxiety that held me back for years. This retreat offered me the opportunity to develop a self-healing capacity that we all possess.
I have known Alex and Mitchell for over 1 year through an online men’s group and I saw them offer their own experience and support with vulnerability and without expectation of return. When I was in the jungle with them, they showed up selflessly to support me in my process. I recommend this retreat because I trust Mitchell and Alex to show up for every participant and support them the way I was supported.
I feel so lucky I got to spend an unforgettable week in the jungle with an amazing group of people. Thanks to Alex and Mitchell’s format, we all knew each other before we got to Peru, so it meant going with friends.
I feel honored to participate in the ceremonies, and receive icaros from the kind, approachable shamans and curandera. I won’t ever forget the walk we took to an ancient ayahuasca vine in the jungle, where the shamans talked about the different plants growing in the jungle.
This retreat was one of the best experiences of my life and I’d like to share with you a few of the ways I’ve grown since integrating what happened. Overall, I am more emotionally resilient, physically stronger and I have a much closer, more loving relationship with my family. Instead of feeling depressed or anxious, I know that I matter and belong here.
This retreat offered me an opportunity to expand my ability to heal myself and become more resilient for the rest of my life. I participated fully and was able to heal so much in one week that I am already living a life I didn’t think was possible just a few months ago.

October 14, 2022 at 8:35 pmTwo words: complete serenity. Before this retreat I was struggling with depression and anxiety. I just hadended my four year long relationship as a result of infidelity. My whole world was turned on its head. Being open, honest, being totally vulnerable, acknowledging my emotions rather than minimizing them to the point they “don’t exist” was not easy for me. I had massive walls built around me but Alex and Mitchell provided me the strength to disassemble them. I had never felt more safe, seen, loved, supported and understood, than I did when I was in ceremony or in the sharing circles. I did a years worth of healing in the week I was at this retreat. I had never felt more connected to myself and finally found calmness. Everyone here was amazing. I have never met more genuine, loving, empathetic, pure souls. The healing that took place for me on this retreat I will carry with me for a lifetime and will continue to grow. I would strongly encourage anyone thinking about doing something like this to do it. Invest in yourself!! You are WORTH it. You will not regret it.

October 12, 2022 at 5:00 pmThe level of support that you will receive from Alex and Mitchell in person during the entirety of this retreat, plus the two weeks of preparation and integration before and after the retreat, really make a huge difference in this experience. You will feel in community and among people that you will know well before you get to the retreat center.
Alex and Mitchell also run a free virtual group of which you can be a part of indefinitely before and after the retreat, and months later I still find that this group of friends has had an incalculable impact in my life.
In this retreat you get the full ayahuasca experience with amazing and personable maestros curanderos, and then in between ceremonies you get Alex’s and Mitchell’s top notch care, plus all of the friends you go there with. The sharing circles that Alex and Mitchell hold between ceremonies are truly transformational and are as powerful as the ceremonies themselves.
I will definitely be joining another of these retreats as life and schedules allow.
