Mission and Vision

Vikara, meaning “transformation” in Sanskrit, is a retreat centre built with love to empower individuals to connect with their true selves and discover their own way to healing, serving and living their full potential. We strive to foster a network of conscious and responsible human beings who seek spiritual growth and evolution.
Our vision extends beyond the individual, as we envision a world where everyone reconnects with their essence, fostering personal healing and collective transformation in harmony with Mother Earth.

Safe Ayahuasca Retreats & Small Groups
Your safety and well-being are paramount at our Ayahuasca & Healing Retreats. We foster a supportive environment with intimate groups of no more than 10 participants, allowing our experienced facilitators to offer personalized attention and prioritize your complete well-being throughout your transformative journey. At Vikara, you embark on a healing journey supported by our team of experience in facilitators and space holders. Here, you can experience profound tranformation and step back into the world empowered to live a life aligned with your true essence.
We use the term “facilitator” to highlight the distinct role our practitioners play. While trained by traditional shamans and deeply knowledgeable in the medicine’s power, their perspective combines this ancient wisdom with an understanding of Western psychology and contemporary mindsets. This unique blend allows our facilitators to bridge the gap between traditional healing and the needs of modern individuals, enabling personalised guidance and a more relatable experience for many participants.

The Vikara ayahuasca retreat was a beautiful, profound, fun, and life altering experience. Iris, Roey, Tati, and Colas are all amazing healers who are willing to patiently work with you. The accommodations were luxurious and the setting was beautiful. The hotel staff was amazing and I felt warmth from them the entire stay. The accommodations look even better in person than in the pictures and the bed is softer than I could have imagined. It’s so wonderful to flop face first onto your bed after a long night working with the medicines.

I came to Vikara to seek treatment for my depression and anxiety. Iris and Roey had a wonderful way to integrate the power of plant medicines into a western lifestyle. Coming out of this experience I have a deep understanding of myself and my relationship to this world. I am clear of feelings of inexplicable sadness and stress and I am able to work harder, love more deeply, and connect with the world on a whole new level. This retreat is one long therapy session integrating sweat lodges, plant medicines, sound therapy, yoga, family constellation therapy, and lots of group therapy. I connected deeper with the others on this retreat than my siblings that I grew up with. To be clear, plant medicine is hard and can make you really confront your fears but I could talk forever about how great Vikara’s retreat is.

You owe this to yourself, call Roey and Iris to get a feel for yourself.

The time at Vikara was absolutely unique and beautiful. In 9 days we experienced very moving ceremonies. I felt well taken care of during the whole time. The addition of yoga, breathworkshop and family constellation to the ceremonies rounded off the 9 days perfectly. The facility is designed with great attention to detail and is located directly on the ocean.

I would also like to emphasise the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff and the delicious food throughout the entire time.

    I would definitely return.

This was a beautiful group of ceremonies that brought all of the pieces together. I enjoyed the use of many plant medicines. It was a small group which made the setting more intimate and helped get to know everyone, this is something I really enjoyed over other settings with large groups. The smaller sizes really allow everyone to heard and be heard. I always felt very safe during ceremonies and walking around town and the beach.

The food was excellent and the fruit is so fresh and delicious!

Being on the beach was in incredible, I loved being able to just walk out and surf during the day, that will have me coming back!

Vikara means transformation in Sanskrit. This place offers the opportunity to shed the things that no longer serve you, and reconnect with the fundamental truths of our humanity. Roey and Iris have created a sacred space for plant medicine therapies. They offer ayahuasca, San Pedro, mushroom, and tobacco healing through thoughtful and beautifully orchestrated ceremonies. Facilities are relatively new and comfortable, steps away from the beach. Excellent meals and snacks available 24/7. Most unique thing to me was the intimate vibe. This is a family affair. Healers and teachers will know you on a first name basis and truly care about your intentions. It’s hard not to resonate with the good vibes that emanate from this wonderful place.

The Vikara Retreat Center is an incredible place located on the beautiful beachfront of Olon. I recently took part in the 9-day plant medicine, Yoga, meditation and surf retreat, which I couldn’t recommend highly enough for so many reasons.
Iris and Roey went above and beyond to ensure everything was exceptional, welcoming me into their world and treating us like family. The accommodation was perfect, along with every staff member who was spectacular, there to ensure our stay was comfortable. The ceremonies were an impressive experience, with lots of self-development before, during and after. If you’re going to step out of your comfort zone and experience ayahuasca, this is the place to do it.
The Yoga throughout the week was incredible, thanks to Sisa. A perfect way to prepare for the evening’s ceremonies. The perfect getaway!
