CANCELLATION POLICY
Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness. If you cancel your participation in a retreat for any reason, the cancellation policy below will apply, with no exceptions. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but we have costs already incurred when reserving retreat centers and hotels. We have designed our cancellation policy to be as compassionate as possible in the case that your plans change. But to protect yourself further, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
IF YOU CANCEL THE AYAHUASCA RETREAT:
We do not refund your deposit but you can reschedule to any retreat in the future. The exception are if you have a medical condition that does not allow you to participate.
IF WE CANCEL THE AYAHUASCA RETREAT:
We have never had to cancel a retreat, however, if we do cancel a trip due too few participants, we will refund to you all deposits and payments you have paid. We cannot, however, compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred. In the unlikely event that SOUL QUEST AYAHUASCA CHURCH OF Mother Earth must cancel a Ayahuasca retreat due to weather, natural disaster or political upheaval, we cannot guarantee a refund – it will be depending on receiving a refund from the venue / tour operator we work with. To cover these risks, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
The best way to protect yourself from any unforeseen circumstance is to purchase trip insurance. Travel Insurance can protect you in case:
• you cancel your participation in the Ayahuasca retreat
• the retreat is canceled due to weather, natural disaster, or not enough participants to run the trip
• lost baggage
• medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become ill or injured
We recommend TRAVELGUARD, which offers a variety of travel insurance, including the option for a comprehensive “cancel for any reason” policy. If you cancel your retreat – for any reason – your airfare, hotel, retreat costs, etc. up until 48 hours prior to travel, will be covered. This comprehensive package is called the ” Gold Package Cancel for Any Reason” Policy”. You must contact Travelguard and purchase the policy within 15 days of buying your airline tickets or incurring any costs for any part of your travel. You can also just ensure your air tickets. Travelguard can give you quotes for each scenario.

March 19, 2019 at 4:35 pmHello, My name is Amanda. My stay at Soul Quest can only be described as a miracle. I am now feeling connected, I didn’t think that would be possible for me. The facilitators and Volunteers were amazing angels!! The Shaman has such an amazing powerful gift. I am so lucky to have found this place. They are so strong, loving and healing. I recommend this place to anyone feeling the call to Aya.

February 17, 2019 at 11:01 amI came to ayahuasca as a last resort after years of depression, axiety, and PTSD. I had run out of cards to play. This was my last. I initially went to Gaia Sagrada in Ecuador for a 12 day retreat. That was a good experience. The staff and shamans were wonderful and the facility is beautiful, as is nearby Cuenca, so if you have the opportunity I highly recommend Gaia’s retreat as well.
With that said, during that retreat, I unfortunately was not able to reach any of the answers I was hoping to get to. My understanding is that the medicine needed to do some physical cleansing first. Still, I did see a few others experiencing some of the things I was in need of so it told me to hold on and try again. At the suggestion of a friend and fellow veteran I decided to go to Soul Quest.
With my admittedly limited experience, Soul Quest is at a whole different level.
I arrived still carrying myself like a body without a soul. Stuck very deeply in my own head and having access to none of the positive emotions I now have access to again. The staff at soul quest was/is wonderful. The founders are very much available, when they are not actively running an activity throughout every day of the retreat.
The Taita (healer/shaman/curandero), Pedro, who runs the evening ceremonies is a deep, kind, and powerful soul who does absolutely incredible work with creating a sacred space, bringing powerful music, and with ensuring everyone is safe and free to be with the medicine to do their healing, which is what most people do and need most of the time. He also knows from his training and experience how to help people (not most or many, but the few) release a deeply powerful emotion or dysfunction they don’t seem to be able to let go of or seem stuck in (I think these are the people who do the most healing in a single night).
Likewise, the facilitators, medics, and volunteers are standing by at all times to ensure everyone has a safe environment and an experience most conducive to healing, learning, and growth as they go within. All this is an awe inspiring team effort for me to witness and feel and it is absolutely necessary because the medicine at Soul Quest is an increasingly pure, loving, and STRONG medicine. The moment this medicine took effect on me during each ceremony, I knew I had entered deep self, deep inner space, deep emotional trauma, deep programming, and when I worked my way up to a full dose (which is measured in tablespoons!) I was able to get in direct touch with deep reality (and look forward to doing more work going forward). This medicine, especially at a full dose or beyond, is formidable, not for the feint of heart but for those wanting and needing to do serious (wonderful, magical) inner work to face demons, process trauma, regain access to their true self, the life force within, and the heart and that is just what I needed and exactly what I got. Of course, this experience was nothing like I expected and nothing like others had described, so keep in mind that every experience is as unique as every moment. No two are the same, not even the same person one day apart, so be prepared to get what you need, as opposed to what you want, think, hope, plan…etc.
Throughout the retreat, during recovery time there are wonderful classes you can partake in including different kinds of yoga, yogic science (the chakra system, etc) and breathing techniques. The longer retreats also have other classes including nutrition. Of course the grounds are also very conducive to both spending time reflecting/journaling, or to discussing and processing experiences with other participants or with facilitators so I felt like throughout the retreat I was always doing something that was good for me and my process.
The medicine is made right on sight by the ayahuasquero who runs the daytime ceremony, Anthony. Anthony, like Taita Pedro, has a beautiful, powerful, loving presence and is able to create an environment that was beautifully conducive to absolutely transformational work for me during the day time ceremonies under the white oaks. Like Taita, Anthony helped me feel safe to go deeper within, knowing that if I get into trouble, I am not alone, I am in incredibly good hands. This was/is absolutely key for me.
While I could not say enough good things about Soul Quest and realize this review does have to come to an end I will mention something very specific. Soul Quest’s commitment to help heal the many military veterans who are out there fighting alone. Chris Young, Verena Young, Dr. Scott Irwin extended me and other veterans I know a full commitment to support us, including in times of financial hardship through their Veteran Program/Fund, as we fight the demons we carry…those demons who continue to take lives not in combat but in suicide every single day.
If you are or know a veteran in need, please let them know there is at least one more card to play at Soul Quest. And it’s a powerful one.

February 8, 2019 at 3:21 pmAh… Soul Quest 🙂 From the perspective of a first time Aya journeyer, life long skeptic and cynic.. These beautiful people ONLY care about others, as well as the betterment of humanity in general. I saw not a shred of evidence of any self serving motives in any of the staff.. They were our protectors; our spirit guides; our guardian angels in our darkest moments. I could go on for days about the experience, how I was personally transformed, and how kind and non judgmental EVERYONE was.. I’ll leave you with this.. If I could give them a million stars, that is what I’d do. If Aya is calling you, I cant imagine a better setting and group of people to help you get what you need!
My wife and I are already planning another trip in May, to expand on our relationship with The mother, the teacher, the only true medicine , as well as our new brothers and sisters at Soul Quest!!!

February 4, 2019 at 4:05 pmI can’t imagine a better place to have my first experience with Mother Aya. I learned so much there. It truly is a place to help you confront the irrational fears that can make life difficult to live. The volunteers are some of the most caring people I have ever met. I will likely return many times.

January 24, 2019 at 12:12 pmIt has been 5 days since my retreat. The intensity of processing and integrating my thoughts and feelings is still pretty strong. I had a wonderful time at SoulQuest. Making strong connections with people instantaneously was refreshing; this was a pleasant surprise, definitely not at all expected. The staff at SoulQuest is very caring and prompt. Not once I felt manipulated or influenced by anyone. SoulQuest showed me direction but the Quest was all mine. Thank you.
The taste of the medicine is awful but the gift it gives is wonderful. Ayahuasca gave me clarity so my mind would understand what bothers me. Then at night, it took me into an agony that lead into catharsis through vomiting, symbolically and literally. The experience gave me the epiphany that suppressed emotions can be released only if I desperately want it with every single particle of what makes me: letting go. Easy to say hard to do. I guess that is why it is called a Quest.
5 days after the retreat I am realizing that this medicine is affecting every single aspect of my life. After catharsis, I do not want any poison in me. I am taking care of myself. I’ve stopped mindlessly and continuously browsing the internet and instead, use it as a tool when I have a clear purpose. I’ve become more tuned into my family. Before this experience, I passively, half-heard what was being said to me, now I am really, actively listening and understanding. I’ve made changes to my children’s routines cutting their exposure to the internet and devices and really connecting with them. Last evening, it was gratifying to notice they didn’t ask once for devices. At night, instead of watching TV I am taking a walk. My mind is clear, I’m enjoying being in the moment and I feel a reassurance that this is the way it’s supposed to be.
Ayahuasca has taught me a valuable lesson. I am not only my consciousness but more. There are things that are out of my reach and control that should be included to make me whole. Like intuition, dreams and my feelings. If I go against them I’m in hell. To get into heaven I have to go to Purgatory and purge. Something is navigating me through life and that is okay. That is what I am: Body, Mind, and Spirit. I feel complete. I can hear myself breathing.
Thank you
