Qhispikay Kawsay

Welcome to Qhispikay Kawsay Shamanic Ayahuasca Retreats, Peru. We chose the name Qhispikay Kawsay, pronounced “Kiss-pi-KI Cow-sigh,” which means the liberation of one’s life in Quechua, the language of the Inca.

Through the traditional initiatory experiences with Ayahuasca and San Pedro, also known by its indigenous name Huachuma, the journey and process become beautiful and quite complex on spiritual levels. They liberate and elevate your being to higher levels of awareness and comprehension.

We are honored to be able to offer to you the opportunity to take part in Ayahuasca and Huachuma (San Pedro) ceremonies at our Ayahuasca retreats in Iquitos, Peru, with four shamans: Banco Ayahuasquero Don Romulo, his son Master Ayahuasquero Don Winister, Master Huachumero Cesar Legendario and Huachumero William Menech.

Ayahuasca and Huachuma ceremonies enable you to find a more purposeful life. Also included are limpiezas, or cleanses, with special magical healing plant baths.

You will be able to explore traditional plant spirit shamanism that dates from time immemorial in a safe and secure environment. We work with integrity and the best of intentions for spiritual awakening and holistic healing of the mind, body and spirit. You can have the confidence to immerse yourself in the realms of Peruvian shamanism with Ayahuasca and Huachuma (San Pedro cactus), knowing that you are with people who have dedicated their lives to helping you heal at our Ayahuasca Retreats.

Peru has an extremely rich mixture of spiritual traditions that remains very much alive today. The shamans of the Amazon jungle of Peru and elsewhere utilize their sacred spirit plant medicine Ayahuasca, which enables them to transcend ordinary states of consciousness and have an effect on reality through their intention.

We have much experience in shamanic healing work and spiritual practice, and our combined immersion in shamanic realms equals more than 100 years, as well as 80 years consolidated time working within the ayahuasca retreat format in Iquitos, Peru

My experience with William, Winister, Cesar and Don Romulo was nothing short of incredible. My month long visit to Peru was highlighted by my time spent at this retreat because of the love and knowledge imparted by this family. Since then, they have been close friends and have always been there to answer any questions and give sound advice. They truly provide a meaningful and immersive shamanic healing venue and pour all their experience into their guests. It’s a beautiful thing. I can’t wait to get back with my friends and family.

    Hi Everyone!
in April of 2015 I have been to Peru and visited different places as for treatment purposes as for exploring purposes.
I can definitely say that this camp (Qhispikay Kawsay) is the best among those which i had visited. I not only lived in camp but also communicated with different shamans with whom William (the owner of the camp) works together. All of them helped me a lot.
I deeply appreciate what they have done for me. Hard to express the Good they do.
This place is definitely the best and i’m looking forward to see them all once again and to visit William’s beautiful camp.

I attended a Kawsay retreat in 2014. Deep core issues in my life were revealed to me and from those revelations I was able to make many needed changes that have been extremely beneficial to myself and my family. I had attended other ayahuasca retreats and although they were helpful, they did not have the same impact. The personal attention I received at Kawsay made all the difference, so much so that my husband has decided to attend a retreat with me in August of this year.

I want to Kawsay resort for one week ini August, 2014. It is absolutely fantastic. Let me tell you what sets it apart from other resorts

    1) the ceremonies are very small and limited to 5 or 6 people
    2) The shamans are really good and really caring- For our small ceremony, we had two shamans and received individual attention. This just does not happen when many ceremonies are 25 or more people.
    3) William was there to translate and support us. He is a great individual that really cares about his attendees.
    4) The facilities are nice and in the middle of the Amazon Jungle. Nature really comes into play.

I have attended ceremonies at three places, and this is definitely the best .
