I do not recommend this retreat. I felt manipulated and conned by ZZ and Jack “GoldenFeather” I felt mislead throughout the interview process (the interview is invasive and felt more predatory, to get blackmail information on you). They claim to be stewards of the scared land in Hawaii and “locals” but they are from Florida. With a name like GoldenFeather you would assume you would be lead by an indigenous person, you are not. My friends and I did not inform them that we knew one another for safety and I’m glad we didn’t. The “ayahuasca” is more like pharmauasca. It makes you feel like you have taken a Benadryl overdose. I am 90% sure that is all you have been given with some kava mixed it. You fall asleep and then wake up projectile vomiting. I want to warn others so they are not tricked into paying an offensive and exorbitant amount of money to not be given ayahuasca. I felt that they are not healers but two partaking in an elaborate scam, preying upon people that really do need help and guidance. Avoid these people like the plague.

My heart is full of gratitude for Muaisa Hale Pule. I do not even know where to begin! From the start-up, Dr. ZZ has been wonderful and very helpful every step of the way! The Plant Medicine ceremony was profound; the brew showed me exactly what I needed to work on, even though I didn’t realize it at first. However, after my private session with the shaman (which was supposed to be 2 hrs only, actually lasted over 3 hours), everything was clear. Jack was kind and knowledgeable, he definitely saw right through me and helped me see the real situations/problems I was dealing with and a possible solution for them. Again big thank you to Dr. ZZ and Jack for your work and your beautiful souls! It was a true pleasure to just be in the same room as you. I would definitely recommend Muaisa Hale Pule to anyone! I will definitely be back! alhoa!

I am beyond glad and grateful I did the Shamanic Rebirth with Jack and got to meet this amazing couple. I also did some volunteering and it was absolutely wonderful to spend some time with both Jack and Zz. I wasn’t sure at first if it would be worth it financially for me to do the shamanic rebirth but it was so worth it and I am so glad I went for it! I got to learn about my animal guides and came to much-needed realizations with Jack’s guidance. Jack also is an amazing painter and has an art program for ones interested in art! I also had the opportunity to attend a Sacred Plant Ceremony which was a quite interesting experience and helped me release some energies that did not serve me. Jack and Zz were great throughout this experience as well. Thank you SO much Jack and Zz for this extraordinary journey. I hope to see you guys again one day and hopefully soon! 🙂 Love, Selin

I just got back from an Indigenous Hawaiian Plant Ceremony with these people, and these plants are intelligent. I’ve done several ayahuasca retreats in Peru, Spain and the USA, and the experience was always great, but in the end I wondered what happened and where it all went. With this brew, this ceremony, I felt very creative and couldn’t stop writing. I wrote several pages in my personal journal, and all my questions got answered. It was amazing!.

Jack is a sexual predator. Women be extremely careful. He is extremely convincing and manipulative.

I am a very intelligent and discerning person, and am not easily manipulated. I am suprised that I even got into this situation, but I’m going to share this now, becuase I am not the only one, and other women need to be protected.

I was at Muisa Hale Pule for a 6 week shamanic training. Like most of you, I found Jack online. There is a reason that Jack and his wife don’t have reviews open on and easy to write on their page. All I’m going to say is that within days of my arriving shaman Jack was trying to convince me that I needed to be sexual/intimate with him as part of a kundalini awakening. He would hug me too long, insist that he could awaken my kundalini throguh naked sexual interaction with him. Something felt SO not right, obviously, but I was very naive at the time. I also trusted jack as a mentor, which in the cultures I come from, is sacred. Jack absolutely has spiritual abilities, and I didn’t know what the right thing to do was. It got to the point that he was pressuring me to let him grind on me against the wall in his little ‘shed shack’ on the property he shares with his wife. That was the last straw. I told his wife, and she said I was the third woman to tell her about this. She said that over the last few years, he’s been doing this more and more often. She started screaming at him from out of the window of their house. She told me that the first girl was a highschool student, the second was a european woman who she caught him sleeping with at the local Rainbow BNB. Listen up. This man is dangerous. His wife is lovely, but she promised she would stop hosting trainings with him when I told her what happened. I am going to be so honest here–I was scared Jack would curse me, which is why I didn’t say anything before. I know that spiritual matters are not to be played with and I don’t take things lightly. I am writing this to warn other women. Please please please think twice before going here. It has taken me a long time to trust new teachers and people in general after this. This man knows a lot of interesting information about spiritual things, but he will try to manipulate you to have sex with him. He told me that he was intimate with a visitor to his ‘retreat center’ and I thought nothing of it, because I didn’t realize how twisted he was at the time. Do. Not. Trust. This. Man.

Please be advised – This “review” is in violation of Civil No. ******-*-*****, a Restraining Order and Injunction Against Harassment which is filed in the District Court of the Third Circuit in the State of Hawaii. The Restraining Order and Injunction prohibits the person who orchestrated this review and any other person acting on his/her behalf from contacting, threatening or harassing Muaisa Hale Pule via “telephone, mail, email, Internet, text messages, etc.” It is “enforceable in all 50 states, District of Columbia, U.S. Territories, and Tribal Lands (18 USC Sec 2265).”

Upon notifying the Hawaii Police Department of this review, which appears to be coming from outside Hawaii, we have learned that, for all practical purposes, it is prohibitive for the Hawaii Police Department to enforce the above-mentioned orders across State lines. As such, the Hawaii Police Department has advised us to ask Ayaadvisors.org to remove the review.

Ayaadvisors.org, however, has refused our request. Furthermore, they have refused to remove our listing from their website, they have removed 2 out of 4 of our 5-star reviews, and they have demanded $50 a month to keep this response to the subject review in place.

If anyone has any viable ideas on how we might otherwise conduct ourselves in this matter, please contact us at **************. Because the Ayaadvisors.org website is registered in Panama, it’s owners are apparently out of bounds of normal legal reproach. We appreciate your insight and understanding.

Admin’s Note: This comment has been edited to preserve the anonymity of the original reviewer, as well as for excessive punctuation and capitalization, but the original content of the review has been left intact.

It’s also worth noting that anyone can delete their own review in their respective dashboards, and we haven’t deleted any reviews from this listing.

Also, replying to reviews is simply a perk of being a member, and membership fees are what keep this site going. This is far from a “demand”.

We’ve chosen to leave this review here though, to reflect the character of the authors in their own words.
