It’s difficult to put into words what an incredible and transformative experience we had with Entheogens Peru. Every moment spent with Stephano, the owner, was magical and deeply soul touching, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the care and passion that he puts into making his retreats a trip of a lifetime.

First, a bit about Stephano: he is incredibly knowledgeable about plant medicine and the science behind it, as well as the ancient sacred sites that he’ll take you to visit. He makes you feel safe and cared for the entire time, offering advice on what and when to eat, and helping us cultivate the right mindset during the ceremonies through techniques like breathwork, meditation, music, coca leaves, and sananga. He also provides invaluable guidance on interpreting and integrating the experience after each ceremony. It’s evident that Stephano has a deep connection to the sacred sites, and his unique ability to create the perfect setting elicited incredibly vivid and meaningful experiences for us.

Our experience: for our first plant medicine ceremony, we hiked towards Killarumiyoq sacred temple for our Psilocybin journey. Stephano provided us with mats and blankets, and made us feel incredibly comfortable the entire time. It was here that we spent the first two hours after eating our mushrooms, staring at the most amazing stone wall that transformed into a natural tv screen for our visions. We rounded out the day by hiking to a second cave where we had a beautiful ceremony and blessing led by a separate shaman. Our 2nd ceremony took place in another magical setting called Ñaupa Iglesia, an ancient Inca cavern, where we were introduced to DMT while sitting in a perfectly carved natural stone throne. And for our 3rd and final ceremony, we went to the Saqsayhuaman area where we visited 5 sacred sites, some accessed on horseback which only added to the amazingness of the day. In two of the sites we again experienced powerful DMT sessions, and as before, we were supported by Stephano the entire journey and made to feel very safe and comfortable.

All in all, it was an absolutely beautiful few days that we wholeheartedly recommend to anyone interested in plant medicine and seeking self-discovery, growth, and healing. As someone who has dabbled in plant medicine before, I can honestly say this was the most authentic and beautiful one yet, in large part due to the powerful ancient sites and Stephano’s presence and expertise. What an incredible way to delve into our psyche while getting to simultaneously experience the magnificence of Peru and all that its history has to offer. Thank you again for an unforgettable time!
