Ayni Retreat Center

Cuenca, Ecuador

Come and experience a life changing journey in a safe environment at Ayni Retreat Center.

We offer 12, 8, 6 and 5 day retreats that include ceremonies with Ayahuasca and Huachuma (San Pedro). We also have a Temazcal ceremony, which is also called a Sweat Lodge.

Safety of our guests is our #1 priority. You will be fully supported before, during and after a retreat by experienced staff to facilitate your transformation and answer any questions you may have. Our Shamans and Healers are experienced with these medicines and are also available to talk to you, before and/or after ceremonies if you wish.

Ayni is a word that comes from the indigenous Andean language “quichua”. It means reciprocity, solidarity, cooperation and mutual support. The Shaman and Staff are committed to the meaning of this word in order to facilitate an experience for you that changes your life for the better.

The housing is a collection of patrimonial (heritage) buildings which are authentic and antique. The buildings were built in 1557. This truly adds to the experience because it feels as if you’ve gone back in time.

I just got back from a week Ayni center and it’s hard to put into words how truly amazing it was. The center overlooks the andean mountains. I can only describe this experience as life changing. The power of the medicine is incredible! I learned so much about my strength as a person and I will be forever grateful to Ayni Center. If you are considering a center to go to… This is the one! I guarantee you will get so much more out of it then you ever imagined, as well as feel safe and relaxed the whole time! So much love to those who made this trip to be more then I could dream!

Ayni is a treasure that is set in the magical Andes mountains of Ecuador. When I arrived, I was really seeking tranquility during my process with the medicines, and I was treated with such kindness and care. I am so happy to have met these incredible healers and to have had the opportunity to heal on such a deep level. My gratitude is immense, and I will definitely be returning soon. Thank you for everything.

Ayni Center has changed my life, down to root of everything- my soul. From the environment to the people who run it to the medicine that is Ayahuasca. I am moved by my experience. The staff is beyond amazing- the shaman was able to personally help with all my struggles. I can’t believe the healing powers! I cried because I never wanted to leave the center but who I am now after my experience is a stronger, happier complete soul full of love and gratitude.
