The Eagle Condor Alliance offers 10 Day Sacred Medicine Retreats in the mountains outside of Medellin, Colombia.  Our next retreat dates are June 23rd – July 2nd.

Participants stay in comfortable glamping, camping, and shared cabin accommodations while experiencing traditional Ayahuasca (Yagé), San Pedro Cactus, Peyote and Temazcal (Inipi) ceremonies.

At Eagle Condor Alliance, our central mission is to spread consciousness, awareness and love by being the bridge between our participants and the ancient traditions and sacred medicines of the Americas. We are ultimately concerned with supporting the elders of these traditions and with conserving the forests of Colombia where these medicines, traditions, and wisdoms are found.

Healing With All of the Sacred Medicines

We offer the sacred plants of the Americas in one powerful and rejuvenating 10 day retreat. Ayahuasca, San Pedro, and Lakota Sioux inipi (sweat lodge) ceremonies each have their own unique spirit, tradition, and way of showing us to ourselves. We believe that using these plants together in guided contexts creates the most profound and curative spiritual experience.

Intensive Plant Medicine Immersion Experience

The demanding itinerary of ECA retreats requires that participants approach the medicine with respect, reverence and strength. These medicines lead us to confront both the beauty and darkness in each of us, and will power is needed to maintain consistent focus on our transformative internal process during the retreat.

Our Commitment to the Individual

Each participant comes with his or her own past experiences, health concerns, goals, ambitions, medical history, and intentions for the retreat. At ECA, we have small retreat groups. The group is cared for by 3 group facilitators and 2 experienced healers who are committed to creating bonds of trust and compassion that form the foundation for the healing processes of participants.

Experienced Healers and The Purest Medicine

ECA’s healers have been finding, harvesting, and preparing their own medicines to the benefit of their respective communities for over 40 years. They offer these gifts from Mother Earth in their purest forms. ECA’s medicines are never altered or mixed with other substances or plants. They are provided with respect and love in traditional ceremonies from the Cofán community of the Amazon, the Lakota-Sioux of North America, and the traditional Andean peoples.

The Setting – Colombia’s Natural Beauty

The retreat centre is located at an altitude of 2300m surrounded by dense Andean sub tropical rain forest, spectacular views of the valley, pristine drinking water, your own private river, hiking, wildlife, and comfortable glamping and camping options

Comfort and Rejuvenation

Comfort is a crucial element in this reviving and re-energizing experience, and it’s typically forgotten by most other retreat centers. Participants at ECA retreats: sleep in comfortable, soft beds, take hot showers, eat delicious, healthy cuisine, drink fresh mountain water, walk outside without being devoured by insects, and are given ample alone time for reflection and self-examination. The mild climate also helps us rest.

Convenience and Price

Fly direct into Medellin’s international airport for a fraction of what it costs to get to Cusco, Leticia, Iquitos or other locations, and arrive at the retreat center in under 30 minutes via our private transport. No special vaccinations or injections required. We provide all food, housing, and on the ground transport in order to make our retreat relaxing and hassle free.

If you feel the call, this is the place to be

After attending the 10-day Sacred Medicine Retreat with Jesse and the rest of the staff, all I can say is that if you feel the call from the Medicine, this is a great place where you will feel loved, be taken care of and receive powerful insight and transformation.

The beautiful mountains of the central region of Colombia and the amazing weather serve as the perfect setting for a truly life changing and transformational experience. I got to experience not only Yagé, which I was already familiar with, but also Peyote and Huachuma. Each medicine is given in the right context by an experienced Taita, and in ceremonies so beautiful and well planned out that all you can do at the end is be thankful that you are being a part of something so cathartic and wonderful. Plus the temazcal ceremonies provide the perfect beginning and end to the whole experience. After the last ceremony you are left with no words, just sighs of bliss, a huge smile in your face and a sense of peace and unity with everyone around you.

The food was delicious and served with love, and the accommodation was perfect. The team was loving and attentive, always willing to help out and share experiences and wisdom.

After a couple of weeks I am still in my integration process, but the way the medicine is offered, in such a gentle yet powerful way and by experts who know what they are doing, just left me with deep insights and powerful takeaways.

I went to the Eagle Condor Alliance with some issues to work on and the sense that I wanted to receive clarity on what service truly looks like in my life. But I had no idea the medicine had other big insights in store for me that would take my initial expectations and completely turn them around for good, giving me a deeper understanding and vision of what my path looks like. I can only be humbled at the wisdom of Mother Ayahuasca and how, if you approach it with humility and respect, it has the power to lead you to mental, emotional and spiritual places you didn’t even know existed.

Thanks to the ECA for such a wonderful experience and to the Medicines for assisting us in this earthly journey. I am very excited for what’s coming!

I had an incredible time with ECA and the medicines they offered. They were extremely accommodating with my schedule and allowed me to join at a prorated price for the 7 days I was available. I missed the peyote ceremony and initial inipi ceremony and yet still feel like I got such a wide variety of experiences. The people at ECA were genuine and helped me process my ceremonies when I needed it.

We were fed an extremely delicious diet prepared with lots of love and care. I prefer to eat vegan and they were understanding and made it easy to have access to plentiful, delicious food. The glamping tent where I stayed was very comfortable. The river access to swim and shower on down time was a real treat.

The medicines were powerful and presented in such beautiful ceremonies. I especially enjoyed the huachuma ceremony where some local families joined in. It feels like ECA has sincere relationships with a broad variety of community members and that made the place extra special. I felt loved and deeply cared for while having one of the most challenging and most beautiful weeks of my life. I highly recommend!

I recently had the opportunity to attend a plant medicine retreat at Eagle Condor Alliance in Colombia, I was looking for a safe and supportive environment to explore my relationship with plant medicine, and I found that and more at Eagle Condor Alliance.

The retreat was led by an experienced team of medicine men who have been working with plant medicine for many years. They created a sacred space where we could feel safe and held as we journeyed through our experiences. The medicine men worked miracles, helping us to connect with our inner wisdom and heal from past trauma.

The food at Eagle Condor Alliance was delicious and nutritious. We were served fresh, organic meals that were prepared with love and care. The setting of the retreat was also amazing. We were surrounded by beautiful mountains and lush forest that has a natural bamboo shower, which helped to create a sense of peace and tranquility. There is also a walk to a beautiful river with its own beach.

The staff at Eagle Condor Alliance were extremely attentive and kind. They were always available to answer our questions and provide support. I felt like I was in good hands the entire time I was there.

I would highly recommend Eagle Condor Alliance to anyone who is looking for a plant medicine retreat. It was an incredibly healing and transformative experience that has been of huge benefit to me and an experience I’ll never forget.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience made possible for me by the dedication and authentic nature of the team who enable this healing space to be. On arriving the task ahead suddenly became very real the sincerity of the process was energetically abundant and in all honesty, as my first sacred medicine experience of this nature, it was a wake-up call that this was not going to be one of the yoga retreats that I am very much immersed in.

In our first sweat lodge ceremony I was endeared by the Tita’s (Shamans) spoken belief that we were all old spirit friends who had agreed to meet here and now to share these ceremonies and walk this path together. Little did I know that a month later I would not see his words as comforting beliefs, instead I would feel to the core that the universe had undoubtedly sent me. I was meant to be there at that time with the people I was there with, everything was as it was meant to be. From the unexpected triggers and strong reaction to the ceremony, it quickly became very clear that I was there to do some very deep work and this was my time to begin the next chapter of healing in my life.

My arrival was via an unconventional route when last-minute travel changes meant I reconnected with the team looking for a volunteering opportunity. I was advised that on my exact availability dates, they were running a sacred medicine retreat and they generously offered me a place as a scholar. Whilst I hadn’t intended to attend a sacred medicine retreat at this point, I had considered that if I stumbled upon it at some point in my six-month travels of South America and it felt right, I was open to it.

My decision to go was made based purely on my contact with Jesse and an intuitive feeling that as these unexpected circumstances had pathed the way enabling me to attend, my job now was just to prepare and arrive without any expectation or research about where I was going, who they were or what it would entail.

What entailed was the unraveling of deep trauma and a roller coaster of emotions and releases that took me from being & feeling the biggest mess I could recall, to feeling as free as a bird. An experience that would have been incredibly difficult to navigate had it not been for the support and incredible connection which formed instantaneously with the wonderful beings who walked their own path next to me throughout this journey and the extraordinary hearts of the volunteers, residents and Tita’s that facilitate the healing process.

Was it a magic pill to change your life absolutely not, was it easy no, but it was an incredibly significant chapter of my travels and life. It has led to deeper self-awareness and healing of my relationship with myself, and my loved ones and a recognition of how connected we are to the genetic and emotional energies of our families and ancestors.

If you want to learn more about my long-term journey to ECA and an honest account of how the ceremonies impacted me at the time and continue to do so now. Check-in on the ECA website for the blog which we will publish at the end of March.

    Best Wishes
    Much Love & Abundance Row

Wow. It’s been a few weeks since I attended the Eagle Condor Alliance retreat and my mind is still blown.

I came as an atheist with no experience with spiritual medicines.

I came with little anxiety but loads of curiosity and skepticism. I left humbled with a world view that was turned around 180.

    I can’t say I’m an atheist anymore.

I found everything I was looking for and more. Spiritual encounters, new close friends, a safe space to explore and time to ask questions.

Jesse, Mark and the team at Eagle Condor alliance create a very warm and comfortable space for everyone.
Humble to a tee and invested in your journey. This is the experience you are looking for if you want to try these medicines for the first time.

If you’re curious and want a genuine experience, steeped in authentic cultural practices with people who have been practicing these traditions for decades – ECA is where you want to be.

I’ll be back. And I think that says it all.

Wow! What an amazing experience. The place, the people, the medicine, what to say, simply magic!
Everyone at ECA is dedicated to making sure you have a transformational experience and are on the path themselves. You can tell that they are genuine and truly wish for you to have the experience of a lifetime. I particularly loved the ceremonies with Peyote and San Pedro in the teepe, I had never done these before and they really opened my heart and helped me heal on a deep level. Together with the Yagé ceremonies in the traditional Maloka which, as always, is intense, scary and enlightening, the whole process for me was well thought out and every step helps to drive home the universal message, and personal ones as well! Aho…

I picked this place because I liked the name, and the price. I really did close to no research, and somehow picked the most authentic place imaginable. Seriously, these guys have put in the work, and outsource running the ceremonies themselves to professional shamans (not the right term, but it paints the right picture) who have lived in the jungle with elders for decades.

I had intentions of things I wanted to fix, to heal, and to improve going into this. And I can safefully say I made serious progress in all of them, but I also made progress in things I thought were completely hopeless. It’s been a couple days since my retreat, and I never thought I could feel this amount of love. Seriously, it has changed my life. And I have experienced a type of spirituality that I would have called people crazy for before. I think the less I say, the better. But if you’re reading this, then that means you’re ready for what this medicine has to offer. Something has pulled you here, something is pulling you in the direction of these medicines, and you should listen.

My warning to people would be this: If you go into these ceremonies without intentions, or without being fully willing to explore the darkest parts of yourself, and come out of this with a lot more self love and spirituality than you went in with… You’re going to get your ass kicked by these medicines, and you’re going to have your world turned upside down. It may not make sense at first, it may be the most difficult thing you’ve ever done, and you will want to quit. But if you see it through to the end, then you will realize your fullest potential, and live your life more authentically afterwards. So good luck, but you won’t need it.

One of my first retreats & first time taking medicine. I was called to come here, no one referred me to be here. This medicine has been a great value to my life. The staff was extremely awesome, never received the amount of love and support as I received being here. Felt really family friendly.

The medicine is potent and makes you tap in. Once taking the medicine, my energy was on another level, my alignment feels like infinity because it has been just back to back things happening in my favor of what I envisioned. Even now, things are becoming more clearer and I’m just going for it.

My love has increased and I’m taking care of my spirit, mind, energy more than ever.
Great Retreat Overall. Will go back soon.

    Hope You Are Lead Here!,

I attended a retreat in February 2020. I travelled across continents and I was so fortunate to be at this retreat with these healers. I am eternally grateful.

The medicines were strong and powerful. We were a small group, and there were intense experiences in the maloca, teepee and sweat lodge. At all times during ceremonies I knew our safety and physical needs were being looked after by the facilitators Jesse and Bobby, and helpers Jacob and Mark. These people are beautiful. They are very calm, strong, loving people, immediately right there for anyone when something big comes up that we need help with, without rescuing, always making space for us to have our relationship with the medicine, to do the hard work, to let the gifts and the blessings come in. I am so grateful for their steadfast service. They believe in the healing of the medicine and they are there to serve.

To the shamans and the medicine I can only give my eternal gratitude. Thank you for giving your self and your spirit to this work. I can’t believe that I, as a Westerner from a different culture and tradition, can experience your gifts.

This retreat centre is a part of the community, so there are some locals and some of the shamans’ family members who attend some of the ceremonies. It is a privilege to witness and be with people who live their lives according to the ancient and wise ways and traditions going back for thousands of years. It is good that we as participants can in our small way contribute and show thanks.

During the retreat there was plentiful healthy and delicious food, and the cooks were another loving, fun and positive part of the team. There is a range of accommodation, and I was very comfortable. The setting is beautiful. The mountains above Medellin are magnificent. Before ceremonies we had outdoor cleansing showers with water and fresh herbs heated in big pots on the fire. To have a private space outside in nature looking at the clouds and mountains and hearing the birdsong was incredible.

There was a lot of quiet time to prepare and meditate and reflect. There were a couple of guided meditations and yoga sessions. Other group participants were respectful and not intrusive of each other’s journey, and over the ten days we formed the bond you would expect from going through this together. What a beautiful group of people from all around the world. They were inspiring.

There were also joyful times. The music played and sung in the communal areas in the evenings and during some of the ceremonies helped me get through the tough times. I experienced a lot of pain, a lot of purging, and a lot of joy- if that’s the way to receive healing and meet those parts of myself and the universe then I’m in! I’ll be back at ECA for sure, if I can integrate these lessons and get to a stage where I’m ready for more learning. Apparently a lot of people come back to this retreat centre for another retreat. I can see why.

It’s been a year since I had my first and only (for now) retreat at ECA. I want to express gratitude for all the love I felt, received and felt encouraged to share with the shamans, facilitators, and group members. Even after all this time I’m still learning from the experience.

Every person reading this review may have different criteria they need met in order to think this place is the “right one”. In my case I needed assurance I would get the most healing for my buck–haha it’s a little silly to think about now…
What I can say today is that the beautiful facilities, the medicine, the guidance, and support I received at ECA left me with a deep sense of knowing that every experience can bring healing. There is love in every moment. I now feel and know this to be true.

Thank you Bobby, Jesse, Mark, Margarita, Leidy, and the shamans Leonidas, Gonzalo, Cesar. I am so grateful I got to be in your presence and witness the love and truth you embody.
