That said, any time entheogens are ingested, it’s vitally important to at least have the presence of a ‘sitter’ or helper that is knowledgeable and experienced enough to reel you in and calm you down if you get flustered. (A well-intentioned but non-experienced sitter could make things worse for you.)
Even if you have an unusually strong constitution for such things, difficult experiences happen, and if they happen to you, things have the potential to get extremely uncomfortable or frightening. And a good helper will be ever-vigilant with a big heart and a way to calmly help you ease your fears or discomfort.
And really, the best way to go is in an authentic ceremony with a trained shaman (not just someone who calls themselves a shaman), and for that, there are many retreat centers on this site that will take very good care of you.
However, for the most experienced people out there or perhaps for people who can’t afford a full-blown retreat and are in desperate need of healing, we’ve teamed up with the folks at Waking Herbs to bring you the following selection of entheogens.
The Boa or Caupuri Ayahuasca is part of Banisteriopsis Caapi species but has distinguishing large knots spread all along its stem.
This paste was made with just clean water and freshly harvested Ecuadorian Caupuri Ayahuasca. When the vine is used fresh the product is superior to using dried vine. We slow boil the Caupuri Ayahuasca together with local indigenous people for many hours (3 times 8 hours).
Each time after 8 hours we filter the liquid and then boil down the clear liquid all together until a thick paste remains with is the pure gold of this plant.
Many tribes regard Banisteriopsis muricata also known as Red Ayahuasca as a plant of the gods.
Known as a Master Plant Teacher and known most commonly for its healing power, this vine is richly steeped in cultural mythology and tradition.
Although it is revered internationally it is still considered to be a very mysterious plant, arguably one of the most fascinating and culturally rich plants on earth.
Chacruna is of course the other primary ingredient that’s mostly common used in the Ayahuasca brew, though sometimes other plants are added in its place.
This Chacruna is planted, harvested and blessed by a Quechua shaman who lives with his family on ancestral lands in the Rio Napo Province in Ecuador.
By buying these from us you enable us to support this family and help them maintain the land they care for.
Only a part of the leaves are harvested so the plant remains strong, and the leaves are shade-dried without any fertilizers or pesticides being used.
Our Banisteriopsis Caapi 30x Yellow Paste (one of the main ingredients of the Ayahuasca brew) comes from the land of a Quechua family in the Rio Napo area in Ecuador.
The family are from a long lineage of keepers of a sacred ceremonial cave with a waterfall inside. On their ancestral land surrounding the cave the vines are sustainably cultivated and harvested.
For each plant that is harvested, over ten vines are replanted. The vines are all dried by the sun and have had no further treatment.
Alicia anisopetala (Black Ayahuasca) is a powerful and mystic plant from the Amazon. Although not well documented or researched about, the plant has had its potent properties taken advantage of by people in the past.
We purchase our Alicia anisopetala from an elderly indigenous man that lives on his family land a few hours outside of Iquitos, Peru. He has been growing and protecting a selection of Alica anisopetala vines for many years and is happy to share his crop with us directly and at fair trade prices
Initially we only received freshly cut vines from him, but now we are working on also making the extract concentrate on his native land surrounded by all these beautiful vines and great vibes.
Aside from being an integral part of the traditional Ayahuasca brew, Chalipanga leaves have also been revered for their shamanic healing capabilities.
They were also used as a part of specific healing practices within the Amazon and its healing ability was understood as being beyond any earthly understanding.
We guarantee and work hard that all the plants that go through our hands are filled with clean and beautiful energy so all that receive and pass on can enjoy the gift from the universe we enjoy so much ourselves .
And of course no fertilizers or pesticides are used and above fair trade prices are paid to all involved in our projects!
