I went to Gaia Sagrada not really knowing what to expect of the place, or of plant medicines?
As it turned out, I absolutely LOVED the place, the people, the medicines, and the ceremonies, so much so that I ended up changing my flights staying for TWO retreats? During this time, I had experiences of almost indescribable beauty, the likes of which I have never even CLOSE to experiencing before…
Gaia Sagrada exceeded my expectations in every way. I found the place incredibly nurturing and rejuvenating. Christine, Bruce, and all the staff and volunteers were just lovely, and the place had a great atmosphere! All of the Sharmans (Salvador, Santiago, Paulina, Sophia, and Cynthia) were wonderful. The ceremonies were powerful and life-changing.
I witnessed more than 40 people go through the retreat process. Almost all of them made significant changes in this time, leaving much more confident and happy than when they arrived. Almost all also reported that the retreat had exceeded their expectations. (Warning: The exception seemed to be non-initiating spouses? 🙂 )
The process is definitely CHALLENGING? Plant medicines are no ‘walk in the park’, but the retreats are structured in such a way that the groups bond very quickly, which means that everyone has a lot of SUPPORT in the process. And everything is there to support the process: beautiful surroundings, comfortable beds, great food, hot tubs, hammocks, yoga sessions, cosy fires, beautiful gardens and wonderful company.
If you are curious about plant medicines, have issues you want to sort, or just want to add some extra sparkle and pizzaz to your life, I highly recommend checking it out!!
Gaia Sagrada is still a relatively new/young retreat. It is lovely to ponder the great FUTURE it has ahead of it, and how much positive change it will generate in the World!!
